FMCG and beverage brands · Search engine optimisation

Be the brand a distributor finds when he searches for a drink to carry.

SEO for an FMCG or beverage brand means appearing when a distributor, a caterer or a chain buyer searches for a supplier, and when a shopper checks whether an unfamiliar bottle is a real brand. GullySales builds pages for distributorship, bulk supply and each product line, and keeps them apart from the consumer pages.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For FMCG and beverage brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Distributorship searches end on franchise portals”

A man searching for a soft drink distributorship in his district lands on listing sites that pass his number to five brands, and never reaches yours.

  • “The caterer searches by pack and by city”

A wedding caterer types packaged drinking water supplier and the city name, then calls the first site that shows bottle sizes and the delivery area.

  • “Shoppers search your name to check you exist”

After trying an unknown soda at a bus stand, a shopper looks the brand up. No site, or a page with no products on it, makes the second bottle less likely.

What we do

What we deliver for FMCG and beverage brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A distributorship page that sorts the enquiries

Districts still open, what a distributor needs in godown, vehicle and working capital, how margins are agreed and the support at launch, with a form asking his area and current brands.

Result: Enquiries arrive from people who can run a distributorship.

  2. A page for each product line and pack

Soda, juice, water or detergent, each with pack sizes, case quantity, shelf life and the licence details exactly as printed on the label.

Result: A buyer reads about the product he searched for.

  3. Bulk supply pages for events and canteens

Bottle and can sizes, the cities you deliver to and how an order is placed, written for caterers, marriage halls and canteen contractors.

Result: Bulk buyers find a supplier page, not a consumer advert.

  4. Where-to-buy pages by city

The towns, outlet types and apps that stock the brand, updated as distributors are added, so a shopper or a retailer can find stock.

Result: Interest from a reel ends at a shop, not a dead end.

  5. One name across every listing

Brand name, company name and plant address made the same on the site, the Business Profile, IndiaMART and marketplace listings.

Result: A search for your name shows one company.

  6. Search enquiries counted by type

Distributorship, bulk and consumer enquiries from search recorded separately and compared with the figures taken at the free audit.

Result: You know which page brought the distributor.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a distributor, a caterer or a chain buyer types before calling a drinks or home care brand, and the page that answers it.

soda and soft drink distributorship Hubli
A distributorship page. Name the districts still open, what the distributor needs in godown and vehicles, how margins and schemes are agreed, and a form asking which brands he carries now.
packaged drinking water supplier for wedding
A bulk page. Show the bottle and can sizes, the minimum order, the cities you deliver to and how much notice you need before a function, with a call and WhatsApp button.
20 litre water can delivery near me
A can delivery page for each area served, with the deposit rule for the can, the delivery days and a WhatsApp order link. Use the same address and number as your Business Profile.
floor cleaner manufacturer for private label
A private label page. State the categories you fill, the minimum batch, the pack formats and the licences the product needs, and ask for the buyer's brand and expected volume.
your brand name plus where to buy
A store-finder page listing the towns, the outlet types and the quick commerce apps that carry the pack, so a shopper who saw a reel finds a shelf instead of a rival bottle.
tea powder wholesale dealer
A wholesale page for tea or coffee powder. Give the pack range from small pouches to bulk bags, the case configuration and how a wholesaler places a first order.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for FMCG and beverage brands

  1. 1

    Read the records

In the free audit we go through primary and secondary sales by distributor, active outlets, pending claims and sales by season, so the first decision rests on records and not on how the summer felt.

  2. 2

    Fix the offer

Distributor margin, schemes, claim rules and retailer display terms written down, each checked against what the brand can still afford in the monsoon.

  3. 3

    Tighten the beat

Beat plans, outlet lists, a selling kit for the salesman and a sales app or sheet he will actually fill in.

  4. 4

Add channels one at a time

A new district, modern trade, quick commerce, canteens or events, each opened when the plant, the cash and the distributors can carry it.

  5. 5

    Run the season

Summer loading tied to sell-through, schemes judged on outlets reached, and the slow months used to widen coverage.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should our consumer site and our distributor pages be on one website?
Yes, one domain with separate sections. A shopper and a distributor both search your brand name, so both should land on your site and pick their path from the menu. Keep the distributorship form off the consumer pages, so trade enquiries do not get mixed with complaints.
Do franchise and distributorship portals help or hurt us?
They bring volume, plenty of it from people who are only curious, and the same lead may be sold to rival brands. Keep a listing that produces real distributors. Build your own distributorship page as well, so the serious ones can find you directly.
Should we publish case rates on the site?
Publish pack sizes, case quantity and minimum order, and give trade rates in the reply. Rates move with PET and fuel costs, and a distributor's real margin depends on the scheme running that season.
Will a Kannada or Tamil version of the site rank for our brand?
Yes, if the pages are written in that language rather than machine translated. Product and where-to-buy pages in the local language match how shoppers in your home market search. Keep the distributorship page in English too, since trade enquiries come in both.
Should we give coolers to retailers?
Only to outlets that already sell enough of your brand to fill one. A cooler is an asset on loan, so sign a simple agreement on what goes inside it, and check on beat visits whether it holds your bottles or a rival's. Start with the busiest outlet on each beat.
How do we stop distributors loading up in March and returning stock later?
Pay schemes on outlets reached and on what he sells to shops, not on cases billed to him. Agree the rules for damaged and near-expiry returns before the season starts. Then compare each distributor's closing stock with his salesmen's bills.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
