Furniture manufacturers · Customer retention

Hold the floor space you already have before chasing a new dealer.

For a furniture manufacturer, retention is the dealer who keeps placing orders and the designer who keeps specifying you. A showroom floor is finite, so a competitor's range only gets in when yours stops moving. GullySales tracks reorders dealer by dealer and clears the slow model off his floor before it costs you the space.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What customer retention means

Customer retention is keeping an existing customer buying again rather than losing them to a competitor after the first purchase, usually cheaper than winning a new customer. GullySales sets a routine of check-ins and renewal reminders aimed at customers before they show signs of leaving.

For furniture manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A dead model on his floor costs you the next order”

A dealer with two unsold sofas from your range in a corner will not take a third. Offer an exchange for a faster-moving finish rather than waiting for him to discount it himself.

  • “Reorder gaps are read dealer by dealer, never as an average”

A modular kitchen dealer and an outdoor furniture dealer buy on completely different rhythms. Measure each against his own history and the one who has gone quiet is obvious.

  • “A designer stops specifying you after one bad site”

One delayed delivery in front of her own client is enough. Call her once a site is handed over, not only when you want the next specification.

What we do

What we deliver for furniture manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Reorder tracking for every dealer account

Each dealer's own ordering history recorded, with the expected next order drawn from it rather than from a target set at head office.

Result: A dealer who has skipped his cycle is flagged for a call.

  2. A slow-moving stock check on every rep visit

A standing question about which of your models are not selling, with an agreed exchange or scheme for clearing them.

Result: Your range keeps the floor space instead of losing it.

  3. Contact with the specifier after handover

A call and a set of installation photographs sent to the designer or contractor once a site she referred is completed.

Result: She has your finished work in hand for her next client.

  4. A dealer scheme that rewards range, not only volume

Incentives built around stocking a full category rather than one bestseller, agreed in writing with each dealer.

Result: New models enter the showroom instead of only the safe ones.

  5. Active and dormant dealers reported against the baseline

Dealers ordering, dealers gone quiet and repeat order values reported against the baseline recorded before work began.

Result: The owner sees the network shrinking or growing, not just the total.

How the result is measured

  • Retention rate
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Customers won back

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At the end of the term

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for furniture manufacturers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how new dealers are approached, how the catalogue answers material and price questions, and how corporate tenders are currently quoted.

  2. 2

    Fix the dealer pipeline

A record of every dealer enquiry and prospect, and a routine for the sales team to follow up margin and credit-term discussions.

  3. 3

Build the catalogue that gets found

Product pages by category, material stated plainly, and a showroom locator for buyers who want to see a piece in person.

  4. 4

    Win corporate and hospitality contracts

A proposal format with sample pieces and past project references, used consistently for every tender enquiry.

  5. 5

    Grow both channels

Search visibility and content for direct buyers, and structured outreach with dealer incentives for the distribution side.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a loyalty scheme worth running for dealers?
A scheme earns its keep here, because a dealer is a repeat buyer with targets of his own. Tie it to stocking your range across categories rather than to a discount on volume, or you pay for orders he was placing anyway.
A dealer has stopped ordering. Should we sign another one in that town?
Find out what is on his floor first. The range may have stalled, the credit period may be pinching, or a competitor's rep may simply be visiting more than yours. Signing a second dealer before you know which it is can lose you both.
Do we need to market to dealers and to consumers differently?
Yes. A dealer decides on margin and whether your trucks arrive on time, so he needs a rep and a margin sheet. A consumer decides on material and finish, so she needs a catalogue page that answers those plainly.
How do we win a corporate furniture tender?
A prompt, complete proposal with a sample piece and a past project reference usually matters more than being the lowest quote. Buyers are wary of a cheap quote that cannot deliver on time.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
