Alteration shops · Social media

Let a finished blouse on the mannequin do the selling on Instagram.

Social media marketing for an alteration shop is showing finished work where nearby customers already spend their time. GullySales works on what to photograph, what to post and how to turn a comment or a message into a booked garment.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For alteration shops

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The work is visual and the master has no time”

A taken-in lehenga or a re-cut suit is easy to show and hard to describe. The difficulty is that the master is at the machine, so a posting routine has to fit into the few minutes when a garment comes off it.

  • “Followers are neighbours, not the world”

A reel that travels beyond the city brings praise and no customers. The audience that books is within a short ride, so pages should name the locality and the roads, and speak to people who might collect the garment next week.

  • “A before-and-after is the only post that sells”

Pictures of the shop front or a festival greeting get a like. A garment shown loose and then fitted, with the job named, gets a message asking the price. Shared with the owner's permission, it also gets forwarded to a sister or a friend.

  • “Reels do not replace the WhatsApp reply”

A comment that asks the price and waits three days is a lost customer. The page needs one person and one habit for answering, or the posts raise questions that nobody is there to answer.

What we do

What we deliver for alteration shops.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page set up to show the jobs

A profile with the shop name, the locality, the list of jobs and a button to the WhatsApp number.

Result: A profile that tells a stranger what you alter and where.

  2. A photograph routine at the machine

A short routine for taking before-and-after pictures of finished garments in the same light and the same corner, with the customer's permission.

Result: A folder of finished work filled as the jobs leave the shop.

  3. A set of reusable post formats

    Templates for a before-and-after, a festival-week reminder, a price-guide card and a how-to-measure note.

Result: A handful of formats the helper can fill without the master.

  4. Local tags and groups

Locality tags, the apartment groups and nearby showroom pages where your posts can sit, within each group's rules.

Result: A list of places where your posts are seen by the nearby audience.

  5. A reply routine for comments and messages

A saved answer for price and ready-date questions, and a named person who sends it.

Result: Every comment and message has someone who answers it.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should a tailoring shop use?
Start where your customers already are. For a local trade that is Instagram for the pictures and WhatsApp for the enquiry, with Facebook worth adding if your customers use it.
Do I need to show customers' faces?
No. Show the garment on a mannequin or hanger, and ask the customer before posting any picture of their cloth. Never post a face or a name without being asked to.
How much should I post?
Post what you can sustain. A modest, regular set of finished-work pictures beats a burst of posts that stops when the rush begins. Pictures of finished garments are the post that sells.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
