Handyman and home maintenance services · Local SEO

Show up on Maps in the areas where your team can reach a customer on the same day.

Local SEO for a handyman or home maintenance business is getting your Google Business Profile shown when someone nearby searches for a plumber, electrician or carpenter. GullySales sets up the profile for the way you work, which is usually without a shop, and keeps the details the same across every listing.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For handyman and home maintenance services

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A service-area business that behaves like a shop”

The owner works from home or a small godown, shows that address, and Google suspends the profile. A service-area setup avoids it.

  • “Technicians' mobile numbers on different listings”

JustDial shows one number, Google another, and the old website a third. A customer calls the one that no longer rings.

  • “Reviews mention a technician who has left”

The best review praises a man who now works elsewhere. The next customer asks for him by name and is disappointed.

What we do

What we deliver for handyman and home maintenance services.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business Profile set up as a service-area business

The profile with the right category, the areas served, hours that match who picks up the phone, and a hidden address if you work from home.

Result: The profile stays live and does not draw a suspension for showing a home address.

  2. A list of services with plain descriptions

Each job added as a service, such as drain cleaning or fan installation, with a line on what the visit covers.

Result: A customer sees that you do the job they searched for.

  3. Photographs of real work

Photographs of finished work, with permission, and of your team in uniform with their tools, taken in good light.

Result: A visitor sees a real team, not a stock picture.

  4. Consistent name, address and number

A check of the profile, JustDial, Sulekha, IndiaMART where relevant and your own site, so the same number and business name appear on each.

Result: Callers reach a number that is answered.

  5. Calls tracked by listing

A way of recording which calls came from Maps, which from JustDial and which from the website.

Result: You know which listing is worth the effort.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

Google weighs relevance, distance and how well known you are, and each means something particular for a repair business.

Relevance
Choose the main category that matches most of your work, such as plumber or electrician, and add the others as secondary. List each job as a service. Check Google's current guidelines on names and categories.
Distance
Google favours a business near the person searching. You have no shop, so set the areas you serve and keep to those. A claim of fifty areas on a small team looks untrue.
Prominence
Reviews, mentions on other sites and a steady record matter here. Ask each happy customer for a review as the job closes, and reply to each one in the same plain language.
Listings worth keeping accurate
Google, JustDial, Sulekha and, if you sell to businesses, IndiaMART. Claim each and keep the number and name identical. Close duplicates you do not control.
Name, address and phone consistency
Write the business name exactly as it appears on your invoice and the vehicle. Use one number that is always answered, with the WhatsApp link on the same one.
Hours that match the phone
Show the hours when someone actually picks up. A profile that says open at nine and a phone that rings out until eleven loses the customer to the next listing.

  • Painters and waterproofing teams

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can I list a profile if I work from home?
Yes, as a service-area business. You hide the home address and give the areas you serve. Google's current guidelines decide what is allowed, so read them before choosing, and never post a rented address you do not use.
What if a competitor keeps posting fake reviews or a fake listing?
Report each one to Google with the reason and keep a screenshot. Removal is Google's decision and cannot be promised. Meanwhile keep collecting honest reviews from real customers.
Should every technician have a profile?
Usually no. Google expects one profile per business or location. A profile for each technician looks like spam and puts the main one at risk. Use one profile and list the team on the website.
Two branches in different cities, what then?
Each city with a team and a phone answered there can have its own profile, with its own number and service area. A city with no one on the ground should not have one.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
