HVAC companies · Marketing strategy

Plan the year around two seasons, not one flat campaign.

Marketing strategy for an HVAC company means planning spend, content and staffing around the pre-summer installation rush, the always-on breakdown search, and the AMC renewal cycle. This replaces one undifferentiated campaign run year-round. GullySales builds this as a calendar tied to your actual service capacity.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What marketing strategy means

Marketing strategy is the plan for which channels to use, in what order and with what budget. This way, marketing spend is aimed at a goal instead of tried one channel at a time. GullySales sets this plan after the first conversation, based on where your buyers actually search and decide.

For HVAC companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The plan should follow the calendar, not a fixed monthly budget”

A flat monthly marketing spend either underuses the pre-summer opportunity or overspends during a quiet month, while a seasonal plan matches spend to demand.

  • “Residential and commercial goals need separate plans within the same strategy”

Winning a hospital HVAC tender and booking a home AC breakdown call are different sales motions with different timelines, and treating them identically wastes effort on both.

  • “Capacity should set the ceiling on lead generation”

Generating more enquiries than your technicians can service during peak season damages reputation faster than it grows revenue, so the plan should size demand to capacity.

What we do

What we deliver for HVAC companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Seasonal spend calendar

A plan matching spend to the pre-summer rush, the always-on breakdown search and the AMC renewal cycle.

Result: Spend follows real demand instead of a flat, unchanging figure.

  2. Separate residential and commercial plans

Distinct plans for the home breakdown call and the hospital or mall tender, each on its own timeline.

Result: Neither sales motion is slowed by treatment built for the other.

  3. Capacity-based lead ceiling

A target that caps lead generation against actual technician capacity during peak season.

Result: Reputation is protected instead of damaged by enquiries nobody can service in time.

  4. Tender proposal and case-study pack

Proposal material and case studies built around energy efficiency and response time for commercial pitches.

Result: A procurement team comparing bids finds your response-time commitment stated, not left out.

  5. Plan review against real numbers

The plan reviewed whenever a season ends or the results move, rather than left unchanged.

Result: The plan stays matched to what is actually happening in the business.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries against target
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Channel contribution to revenue

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to decide first

What an HVAC company decides about work, areas and buildings before the season starts.

The work you want more of
Installation, repair, AMC and project work earn differently. Look at last year's job sheets for margin per technician day, and choose the one to push, usually the one with the longest repeat chain.
The localities you serve well
Mark on a map where your technicians reach within a reasonable time and where they do not. Aim promotion at the first group, and decline or refer the second.
The buildings you aim for
Homes, clinics, offices, restaurants and cold rooms need different equipment and different people to approach. Pick the building type where you have the most finished installations to show.
The brands you install and service
State which makes you install and which you can repair, whether split, VRF or chillers. A buyer who finds the wrong brand on your page will not call, and one who finds the right brand will.
The customers you keep on AMC
List AMC customers by when each contract lapses and whether they renewed. Decide which sites you want on contract, and what the visit and the renewal reminder will include.
What a good enquiry is
A caller with a location, the number of rooms or tonnage, and the type of building or fault. Decide what your phone answerer asks, and which calls go to a site visit and which to a quote.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the marketing strategy work runs

  1. 1

    Understand business goals

We start with what the business needs to achieve this year, in revenue and growth terms, not marketing terms.

  2. 2

    Audit current activity

We review every current marketing activity and what it has actually produced.

  3. 3

    Strategise the plan

Channels, messaging and budget are set based on the goals and what we find in your business, not habit or competitor imitation.

  4. 4

    Implement the roadmap

The plan is broken into an execution roadmap, either run by GullySales, your own team, or both.

  5. 5

    Measure against milestones

Progress is checked against the plan's milestones, with adjustments made as the year unfolds.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How far ahead should we plan?
A full year, built around your local seasonal pattern. We revisit it whenever a season ends or the numbers move, not on a fixed clock.
Does this replace day-to-day marketing decisions?
No, it sets the calendar and the priorities, and specific campaigns are still adjusted month to month against what is actually working.
Should we plan separate budgets for the pre-summer rush and the rest of the year?
Yes, because the two periods need different work. Before summer you need booking capacity and quick answers, and afterwards you need AMC sales and installation project follow-up. Use last year's job dates to mark where the rush began and ended.
We win few commercial projects. Is it worth planning for them?
Only if you can staff one. Commercial work needs a survey, a drawing, an estimate and sometimes a tender file. Plan a small push for the building type where you have done work, keep references ready, and test it before shifting effort from homes.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
