Painting contractors · Reputation management
Answer the review about paint on the corridor floor before the street reads it.
Reputation management for a painting contractor is watching what is said about mess, timing and the final bill, and answering it in public without an argument. One complaint travels down a street quickly. GullySales sets up the watching, writes the replies with you and fixes the thing that caused the complaint.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means
Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For painting contractors
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“One review about mess costs you the rest of the street”
In a layout or an apartment block the neighbours already saw the drop sheets and the splatter on the common corridor. The review only confirms what they told each other.
“The angry review is about the bill, not the paint”
It starts with an amount that grew after the site visit, an extra coat or a wall nobody measured. A reply that states what was quoted and what changed, in two lines and with no blame, settles it.
“The resident group decides before Google does”
A complaint in an apartment WhatsApp group spreads before anybody posts it publicly, which is why the secretary and the facility manager are worth a word at handover.
What we do
What we deliver for painting contractors.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A watch on reviews, listing questions and the groups where you work
Somebody checking what is said about finished jobs, including the questions homeowners post on the listing and never get answered.
Result: You hear about a complaint while it can still be fixed.
A reply pattern for a bill dispute
A calm public reply stating the quoted scope, what the customer added and what you have offered, with the money conversation moved to a phone call.
Result: A reader sees a contractor who keeps records, not a fight.
A handover walk that catches the complaint first
Every room and the common corridor walked with the customer before the crew and the ladders leave, so a patchy corner is fixed on site.
Result: The complaint is settled at the door instead of online.
A site conduct standard the crew is held to
Drop sheets, the lift and the staircase, where drums and ladders sleep overnight, and who speaks to the watchman.
Result: Neighbours have nothing to complain about in the first place.
A record of what each complaint was actually about
Complaints logged by cause, mess, delay, finish or bill, and read together so the same one stops repeating.
Result: You fix the cause instead of writing the same apology again.
How the result is measured
- Average rating
- Response time to reviews
- Negative mentions resolved
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to do with each review
How to answer what a homeowner says about the finish, the mess or the final bill.
- Praise for a clean job
- Thank them and name the work, such as a two-bedroom interior or an exterior with texture. Ask whether they would add the area and the paint brand used.
- Complaint about patchy or peeling paint
- Ask for photographs and the date of the job. Check whether the wall had dampness, the primer used and the coats applied. Offer a visit and say plainly whether the touch-up is a warranty job.
- Complaint about mess or damaged furniture
- Say sorry, and offer to clean or repair. Check the site photograph from the start of the job for covering. Add a rule that furniture is covered and floors are masked before work starts.
- Dispute about the final bill or extra work
- Go back to the written quote and the list of extra work agreed. Reply that you will go through it with them. Keep a signed note whenever an extra wall or coat is added.
- Delay in finishing the job
- Own the date, say what remains, and name who will call. Check the site diary for the cause, such as rain, a delivery or a worker absent.
- Review that looks fake or from a rival
- Match the name against your jobs list. If nothing matches, report it through the platform's own process and reply once, stating you cannot find a job at that address.

How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Your brief
You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.
After the brief
A conversation and a written scope
We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
How the reputation management work runs
- 1
Understand current perception
We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.
- 2
Audit existing mentions
We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.
- 3
Plan responses
A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.
- 4
Implement monitoring
Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.
- 5
Measure and report
Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
