Guesthouses · Local SEO

Show up on the map when someone searches for a room near the place they must visit.

Local SEO for a guest house is the work of making your Google Maps listing the one people see and trust when they look for a room beside a hospital, plant or campus. GullySales sets the listing right and builds the review and photograph habits that keep it that way.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For guesthouses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The pin decides whether you are near”

A pin set on the main road instead of the real gate puts you a few streets from where you are. A visitor who judges by distance to the hospital or factory reads that error as a longer walk, and picks the listing with an accurate pin.

  • “A wrong business type invites wrong calls”

Listed as a hotel, you attract nightly tourists and travellers wanting a star rating. Listed as a guest house with a clear note on who it serves, the listing meets the corporate and family guest who searched for exactly that.

  • “Reviews from companies read differently”

A line from a corporate guest about the caretaker, the clean room and the invoice carries weight with an admin executive. A pile of reviews that only say nice stay says little to the person who must justify the booking.

  • “The listing and the phone must agree”

The map says open all hours and late check-in allowed, then the caretaker declines. That mismatch shows up as a bad review. Hours, meals and check-in rules need to be the same on the listing, the call and the WhatsApp reply.

What we do

What we deliver for guesthouses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A pin at the actual gate

The location moved to the real entrance, with a note on how to find it from the nearest landmark.

Result: A guest following the map arrives at your door.

  2. A business type and description that name who you serve

Business type, description and services written for the auditor, the patient family or the visiting official, in plain words.

Result: The listing says who it is for before anyone calls.

  3. Photographs of rooms, dining area and entrance

A set of clear photographs taken in daylight, including the approach from the road.

Result: A visitor can judge the room without asking for pictures.

  4. A way to ask corporate guests for a review

A message with the review link sent to the arranger or guest at checkout, so the review comes from people who stayed.

Result: The newest reviews come from recent guests.

  5. Replies to every review

A written reply to each review, dealing with any complaint about water, noise or service without excuses.

Result: A new reader sees complaints answered in public.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our guest house is inside a campus. Can it be listed?
Yes, if it takes outside bookings and has its own contact number. Describe who may book it and how. Check the platform's current rules on listings inside institutions.
How do we handle fake or unfair reviews?
Reply politely and factually, and report any that break the platform's rules. Do not offer guests anything for removing or changing a review, and check the platform's current rules.
Do we need separate listings for two buildings?
If guests check in at two addresses, each address needs its own listing with its own pin and photographs. One listing for two doors sends guests to the wrong one.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
