Heritage hotels · Local SEO

Be on the map, with the right gate, the right hours and photographs of the real rooms.

Local SEO for a heritage hotel is the work of making the property's Maps listing accurate, complete and trusted by the guest who is already in the town or planning the trip around it. GullySales works on the listing, the entrance details and the review flow.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For heritage hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The map pin sits at the wrong gate”

Old properties have a front gate, a service gate and a drop-off point. A guest following the pin reaches the kitchen lane at night with luggage. The pin, the entrance note and the landmark in the description should point to the gate the car can use.

  • “The listing is read by people already nearby”

A traveller in the old town looking for dinner, or a family driving in from the metro, checks Maps before anything else. The lunch, the heritage walk and the evening dinner can be listed, not just the rooms.

  • “Reviews are read for authenticity”

A guest scans for words about the building, the staff and the food. A reply that names the room or the story told on the terrace shows the hotel is paying attention, and it shapes the next reader's decision.

  • “A property in a lane has few signs”

Heritage lanes carry old signage rules and narrow access. The listing has to carry the directions the street cannot, including parking, luggage access and which lane to take from the station.

What we do

What we deliver for heritage hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A pin and entrance note corrected

The pin placed at the gate a car can use, with a clear note on parking, luggage and the landmark to look for.

Result: A guest arriving at night reaches the right gate.

  2. Photographs of the real building

Courtyard, rooms, dining space and entrance, with the original features labelled and the restored parts described honestly.

Result: The photographs match what the guest finds on arrival.

  3. Services and experiences entered

Rooms, dinners, walks, cooking sessions and events set out as separate items on the listing.

Result: Searchers for a dinner or a walk find those on the listing.

  4. Hours and special days set

Check-in, restaurant timing and festival-day changes entered and kept current.

Result: The listing shows the hotel open when it is open.

  5. A review ask at departure

A short request made at checkout, with the link ready on a card or a phone.

Result: Newer reviews come from guests who stayed.

  6. Replies to reviews

A written reply to each review, naming the room or the experience and dealing with a complaint plainly.

Result: A reader sees a hotel that answers.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our building has an old name and a new one. Which goes on the listing?
The listing should carry the name on the signboard, since a mismatch can cause trouble. Add the older name in the description so a search for it still finds the property. Check the platform's current rules.
Can we list the restaurant separately?
If the restaurant has its own name, hours and phone line it can have its own listing. If it shares everything with the hotel, one listing is simpler. Check the platform's current rules before splitting them.
A guest left a harsh review about the building's age. How do we reply?
Reply in a calm tone, explain what is original and what the hotel has done, and invite the guest to talk to the manager. Write for the next reader, who will judge the property by the answer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
