Homestays · Website

Give the house a website that sounds like the host and takes the advance.

A website for a homestay is the one page on the internet the host controls, where a traveller can read about the home, check the rules and pay the advance. GullySales works on the words, the photographs and the booking route, in a form the family can edit.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

For homestays

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Platform pages all look alike”

On Airbnb and Booking.com the house sits in a grid with every other stay. A website is the only place the host decides the order, the voice and the photographs, and where a guest meets the family before the room.

  • “The page must answer the hard questions”

Is there a climb, is the food vegetarian, can a car reach the gate, is the bathroom shared? A guest who finds these answers on the page does not need to ask, and a guest who is surprised later writes a review.

  • “Phones are where guests read”

Guests open the page on a phone on a bad network. Heavy pictures, small buttons and a form that asks too much send them back to the platform. Light photographs, big buttons and a WhatsApp link keep them on the page.

  • “A site no one updates misleads”

Old rates, a festival date that has passed or a closed room on the page cost the host a message that begins with an argument. A small site the family can change alone is kept right, where a bigger one is left to age.

What we do

What we deliver for homestays.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A clear homepage in the host's voice

One page with the story of the house, the rooms, the meals and the neighbourhood, written the way the host would tell it.

Result: Read aloud, the page sounds like the host talking.

  2. Room pages with honest details

A page for each room with photographs, bed, bathroom, view and rate guidance, including any climb or shared facility.

Result: A guest can judge each room without asking a question.

  3. House rules and the road in plain words

A page of the rules, cancellation terms, meal times and directions for the last stretch, stated before the guest asks.

Result: No rule on the page will surprise a guest at arrival.

  4. An advance payment route

A UPI or card link, or a WhatsApp prompt, so a guest can confirm the dates and pay the advance from the page.

Result: A guest can pay the advance without calling the host.

  5. Light mobile pages the family can edit

Light photographs, large buttons and a simple editor so the host can change rates and dates alone.

Result: The host can update a rate without outside help.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the website work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm structure and content

We agree the site's pages and content needs before design begins, drawing on website strategy where it exists.

  2. 2

    Design the site

Every page is designed against your brand identity and checked for how it should convert a visitor.

  3. 3

    Build and test

The site is developed and tested across devices and browsers before anything goes live.

  4. 4

    Load real content

Actual copy, images and information about your business replace placeholder content before launch.

  5. 5

    Launch and hand over access

The site goes live with domain, hosting and content management access clearly handed to you.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can a homestay get by with a Google profile only?
For a while, yes. A site adds a place for the full story, the rules and a direct booking route, and gives Google more to show. It becomes worth building once repeat guests ask where to book.
Do we need online payment on the site?
A UPI link or a payment button for the advance is enough. Use a provider that is in ordinary use in India, and read its current terms before taking money through it.
Who owns the website?
You do. The domain and the content are registered in the host's name, so the house can move to another builder without losing its address.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
