International tour operators · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp to answer, quote and brief travellers in the place they already talk.

WhatsApp marketing for an international tour operator covers the enquiry replies, quotes, document requests and updates that run through the app your travellers already use. GullySales sets up the business account, the message templates and the rules for when a person takes over.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For international tour operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry arrives on WhatsApp first”

A reel, a website button or a referral ends in a message. The traveller expects an answer that day. A slow or vague reply sends them to the portal they were already comparing you with.

  • “Group chats work for and against you”

A group for a departure carries the itinerary, the reporting time and the tour manager's number, which travellers value. It also invites a complaint in front of everyone. Rules on who writes, and when, protect the trip.

  • “Broadcasts need consent”

Sending offers to everyone in the phone book annoys people and risks the number being blocked. Messages should go to those who agreed to hear from you, with an easy way to stop. Check the platform's current rules.

What we do

What we deliver for international tour operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business account with a clear profile

Address, hours, catalogue of trips and a greeting that tells a visitor how to enquire.

Result: A traveller sees a business, not a personal number.

  2. Quick replies and templates

Saved answers for destination questions, quote formats and document lists, edited by hand for each person.

Result: The first reply is accurate and consistent across staff.

  3. A departure group protocol

Rules for who creates a group, who posts, what is shared and when it is closed.

Result: Each departure group follows the same rules.

  4. An opt-in list for travel updates

A consent step on the booking form and a list of people who agreed to hear about new departures.

Result: Every broadcast goes only to people who said yes.

  5. A handover rule between message and call

A guide on when to move from chat to a phone call, such as when a visa or price question gets complicated.

Result: Complex questions reach a person without delay.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is WhatsApp marketing allowed?
Yes, within the platform's current rules and with consent from those you message. Check the rules for business accounts and templates before you start a campaign.
Should we share passport copies over WhatsApp?
Travellers will send them there, so have a rule for storing them in your record and deleting them from the chat device. Ask your adviser about data protection.
Can we automate replies?
Automate the greeting and the common questions, then hand over to a person. An automated reply to a visa query risks a wrong answer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
