Resorts and homestays · Content marketing

Answer the doubts a guest has about a place they have never seen.

Content marketing for a resort or homestay is writing and filming the guides, answers and stories that guests read while choosing where to go: what to do nearby, what the monsoon is like, whether the place suits elderly parents. GullySales plans the pieces from the questions your guests already ask on WhatsApp and turns them into pages, posts and short videos.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A homestay host welcomes guests on a veranda

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the first conversation onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For resorts and homestays

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A blog of things-to-do lists copied from portals”

Every travel portal publishes things to do in Coorg. Your version adds nothing unless it says what only the host knows.

  • “The questions on WhatsApp never become content”

The host answers the same doubts about leeches, network and the walk to the falls over and over in chat, and none of it reaches the website.

  • “Nobody writes about the off-season”

Guests assume a hill homestay shuts in the rains or a beach cottage is too hot in May. If you are open and it is pleasant, nothing online says so unless you do.

What we do

What we deliver for resorts and homestays.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Question list from your own chats

The doubts guests raise on WhatsApp and calls, sorted from early ones such as safety and distance to late ones such as what to pack.

Result: Every piece answers something a real guest asked.

  2. Area guides from the host's knowledge

Walks, viewpoints, temples, markets and places to eat that the host recommends, with real distances and the best time of day.

Result: A guest planning the trip uses your guide, and books with the person who wrote it.

  3. Season pages with photographs from that season

What the property is like in the monsoon, the blossom season, winter and summer, shown in pictures taken then.

Result: Guests stop assuming you are shut or unbearable.

  4. Short videos of a day at the property

Morning to night at the stay in short clips, used on the website, Instagram and YouTube.

Result: A guest sees the rhythm of the place before arriving.

  5. A page on who this place is not for

Plain words about who will not enjoy the stay, such as those wanting nightlife, a lift or room service at midnight.

Result: The guests who book are the ones who will be happy there.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions guests ask first

The doubts a resort or homestay guest has, from first look to booking, and the piece that answers each.

Is it safe for a family, and who runs it?
An About the host page with the family's names and photographs, how long they have run the stay, and who is on the property at night.
How bad is the road, and is there network?
A route guide with photographs of the last stretch, which mobile networks work at the property, and whether the Wi-Fi is good enough for a video call.
What is there to do once we arrive?
An area guide written by the host: walks from the gate, the nearest falls, the temple, and the famous spot that is not worth the queue.
Will my parents or children manage here?
A page on steps, slopes, bathrooms, spice levels in the food and the nearest hospital, with photographs of the paths.
What is it like in the rain?
A monsoon page with real photographs, what guests do indoors, what leeches and damp mean in practice, and when roads have closed in past years.
What should we pack?
A packing list by season: rain jackets and leech socks in July, warm layers in December, a torch for the walk back to the cottage.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the content marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Confirm the plan

Topics and formats for the coming month are confirmed against the content strategy.

  2. 2

    Produce and review

Content is written or filmed, then reviewed by someone who knows your trade before it goes out.

  3. 3

    Publish and distribute

Finished content is published to the site and pushed through the channels your buyers actually use.

  4. 4

    Track enquiries

Enquiries are traced back to content where a direct line exists, and reported honestly where it does not.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

We report results and adjust the next topics based on what actually worked.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Who should write it, us or someone else?
The knowledge has to come from your side, because the host knows the walks, the birds and the road. Someone else can shape it into pages. A writer who has never visited produces the same list as every portal.
Our cook and guide know a lot. Should they appear in it?
Yes, with their agreement. A guide naming birds on the morning walk, or the cook explaining a Kodava pandi curry, is content no other property can copy. Credit them by name if they are comfortable with it.
Should we make videos or written guides?
Both, for different jobs. Video shows the room and the mist. Text answers the road, the rules and the distances, and is what search engines and AI assistants read and quote.
How do we stop the guides going out of date?
Put a date on each guide and check it after each season: a road repaired, a café closed, a new entry ticket at the falls. A stale guide that sends guests somewhere shut costs you a review.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
