Takeaway restaurants · Local SEO

Show up on the map for the customer standing a few streets away.

Local SEO for a takeaway restaurant is the effort to appear in the map results for people nearby who want food to collect. GullySales works on the Google listing, the opening hours, the photographs and the reviews behind that map result.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For takeaway restaurants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The customer picks from the three on the map”

A person searching for a takeaway near them sees a short list with ratings and distance. A shop outside the top few gets no taps at all, however good the food is, so the listing is worth more than a poster outside.

  • “Wrong hours lose the evening order”

A listing that shows closed when the shutter is up sends the customer to a competitor. Festival days, the lunch break and a late-night extension all need to be entered, as the shop's real timings differ from the standing ones.

  • “Photographs decide before the menu is read”

A dark photo of a steel counter does not make anyone hungry. Pictures of the dishes in their boxes, the pickup spot and the shopfront help a customer recognise the place when they arrive and tell them the food is packed well.

  • “A listing with a dead phone number costs orders”

The call button is the main way a takeaway customer orders. If the number rings out in the rush or belongs to a former owner, the listing sends customers who will not call twice.

What we do

What we deliver for takeaway restaurants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A claimed and verified listing

The listing confirmed in the owner's control, with the right name, address and a single phone number that is answered.

Result: You control the listing and can edit it yourself.

  2. Hours for every kind of day

Standard hours, festival hours and any temporary closure entered with care.

Result: The listing shows open whenever the shutter is up.

  3. Dish and pickup photographs

A set of photos of main dishes in packaging, the counter and the entrance, with the shopfront visible from the road.

Result: A new customer can recognise the shop from the listing.

  4. The menu and ordering link

The menu and a WhatsApp ordering link added to the listing.

Result: A customer reaches the menu from the map in one tap.

  5. A review reply routine

A reply written for each review, with a standard way of dealing with complaints about packing or waiting.

Result: Every review has a visible answer from the shop.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our shop has no board. Can the listing still work?
Yes, if the address, the landmark and the photographs make it easy to find. Add a note on how to reach the shop, such as the nearest crossing or the neighbouring building.
Should we ask every customer for a review?
Ask customers who collected an order smoothly, and do so politely at the counter. Check the platform's current rules on asking for reviews, and never offer a reward in exchange for a rating.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
