Water sports and scuba operators · Local SEO

Appear on the map for the jetty, the beach and the stretch of water you work.

Local SEO for a water sports operator is the work of appearing in map results when a traveller searches for an activity near a beach, jetty or river camp. GullySales works on the listing, the location details and the review trail behind that result.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For water sports and scuba operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The map shows the meeting point, not the sea”

A guest tapping a result wants to know where to turn up. A pin dropped on a hotel road, or a booking office three kilometres from the jetty, sends people to the wrong place and costs the operator a missed slot.

  • “Seasonal closure confuses the listing”

When the sea closes for the monsoon or the river rises, a profile still showing normal hours collects calls nobody answers. Setting the dates of closure keeps the listing honest and protects the rating.

  • “Reviews are read for safety”

A traveller scanning a map result looks for words like briefing, instructor, gear and patience. A review that mentions how the team handled a nervous swimmer does more than a five-star rating with no text.

  • “Resort desks and shacks share one pin”

Several operators on one beach appear almost on top of each other. Each needs a distinct name, business type, photographs and booking route, or the traveller cannot tell one from the next.

What we do

What we deliver for water sports and scuba operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified profile with the true meeting point

The pin, the entrance, the landmark and the parking or boat access described in words and photographs.

Result: A guest arrives at the right place without calling.

  2. Seasonal hours and closure dates

Open months, closed days and the sea-condition note entered on the profile and updated when the season turns.

Result: The listing never invites a visit to a closed jetty.

  3. Activities listed as services

Each course and trip entered with a plain description and a booking link, so the profile reads as a menu.

Result: The profile answers what you offer before the guest taps through.

  4. A review request handed over at the jetty

A short ask when the guests are back on land, with a link ready on a card or a phone.

Result: New reviews come from people who were on the water.

  5. Photographs of the real operation

Boat, jetty, gear store, briefing area and instructors, shot with the people's consent.

Result: The traveller sees the place before arriving.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Our beach has twenty operators. How do we stand out?
By being specific. A clear business type, accurate services, real photographs of your own boat and gear, and reviews that mention the team set your listing apart from near-identical neighbours.
Can we run one profile for two locations?
No. Each place that guests visit needs its own profile with its own address, hours and photographs. Check the platform's current rules on multiple locations and on seasonal operators.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
