Water sports and scuba operators · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the beach and the activity a tourist types, not for your own name.

SEO for a water sports or scuba operator means appearing in search when a traveller looks up an activity at a particular coast, island or river. GullySales works on the pages, the wording and the technical basics that let a search engine understand what you offer and where.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For water sports and scuba operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Tourists search a place and an activity together”

The words are scuba diving in Havelock, rafting in Rishikesh or parasailing in Calangute. A single page called Services cannot answer all of them, so each activity at each spot needs its own page with its own details.

  • “Aggregators already hold the first results”

Travel platforms rank well for every activity, with your photographs and a lower price. Competing means pages with facts a listing cannot carry: instructor credentials, group size, dive sites, what the briefing covers.

  • “Seasons move the searches”

Interest in a river trip or a sea course rises and falls with the water. A page that is deleted in the closed months loses its standing, so seasonal pages stay live and say when the activity runs.

  • “A page of splashes tells a search engine nothing”

Photographs without words give the page no subject. A short, accurate description of the activity, the meeting point and the requirements is what lets the page match the traveller's query.

What we do

What we deliver for water sports and scuba operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An activity and place page for each offer

Separate pages for each dive course, trip or sport at each location, written from what the operator actually runs.

Result: Each page answers one search and can be checked against it.

  2. A safety and credentials page

Instructor certification, briefing steps, equipment checks and group limits set out in plain words with names of the bodies as the operator states them.

Result: A cautious guest finds the reassurance on your own site.

  3. Titles and descriptions written for the searcher

Each page title names the activity, the place and the operator in the words a traveller uses.

Result: The search result tells the reader what the page is.

  4. Image names and descriptions

Photographs renamed and described so they appear in image search and add to the page's subject.

Result: Photos carry meaning to the search engine.

  5. A technical check of the site on a phone

Loading, layout and the booking link tested on the phones that tourists use at a hotel or on a beach.

Result: The page works where the guest is reading it.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can a small operator outrank a travel platform?
On a platform's own pages, rarely. On a specific search such as a course name at a named spot, an operator with a detailed, honest page and a strong map listing competes well. GullySales works on that narrower fight.
Do we need a blog?
Only where it answers a question a guest asks before booking, such as what to wear, who should not dive or what a rough-sea day looks like. Pages that answer real questions earn their place; filler does not.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
