Law firms · Sales training

Train the team to convert a consultation into a retained client, professionally.

Client conversion training for a law firm covers the real conversations that happen at a first consultation, such as explaining fees clearly and setting expectations on timeline. It also covers following up without appearing to solicit, rather than a generic sales training approach. GullySales builds this from your own consultation patterns.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

A training room before a session: a flip chart hung on the wall under a clock, the front row of chairs set out on the floor, one chair just lifted down and still out of line, the rest of the chairs stacked, and the handouts waiting on the floor

What sales training means

Sales training teaches a sales team a skill it does not yet have, such as handling a specific objection or running a proper site visit, usually through a structured session. GullySales runs these sessions around real objections and calls from your business rather than generic sales theory.

For law firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Fee conversations need clarity, not hesitation”

A lawyer who explains the fee structure plainly at the first consultation builds more trust than one who is vague about cost.

  • “Setting realistic timeline expectations reduces later frustration”

A client told honestly that a matter may take months is less likely to become an anxious, repeated caller than one given an overly optimistic estimate.

  • “Following up after a consultation needs a professional, not a sales, tone”

A follow-up call checking whether the client has questions reads very differently to a client than a pushy sales call would.

What we do

What we deliver for law firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A fee conversation guide for the first consultation

Written guidance for explaining the fee structure plainly and early in a first consultation, rather than leaving it vague.

Result: A client understands the cost before deciding to proceed.

  2. A timeline-setting script by matter type

Guidance for setting a realistic timeline expectation for different kinds of matters, so a client is not given an overly optimistic estimate.

Result: A client plans around a realistic timeline instead of a hopeful one.

  3. A professional, non-solicitous follow-up approach

A follow-up format for checking on a prospective client's questions after a consultation, worded to read as professional care, not a sales call.

Result: A follow-up reassures a client instead of feeling like pressure.

  4. Training built from your own consultation patterns

A session built around the real questions and hesitations that come up in your firm's actual first consultations.

Result: Staff practise on the conversations they will actually have.

  5. A review of consultations against the training

A follow-up review of recent consultations, checking fee explanation and follow-up against what was covered in training.

Result: Training turns into a consistent habit across the team.

How the result is measured

  • Skill assessment scores
  • Objection handling improvement
  • Conversion rate after training

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At the end of the term

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for law firms

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how your website is organised by practice area, how fast consultation requests are followed up, and how your referral relationships are tracked.

  2. 2

    Fix the follow-up

A consultation request routine that replies quickly, staying within the profession's rules on client communication.

  3. 3

    Build informative content

Practice area pages that explain the process and the firm's experience, written to inform rather than solicit.

  4. 4

    Build visibility

Legal directory listings, referral relationships with chartered accountants and other professionals, and published articles.

  5. 5

    Convert and retain

A clear consultation-to-retainer process, a steady client communication cadence, and a referral ask from satisfied clients.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is this different from typical sales training?
Yes, it is built around professional, ethical client communication rather than persuasion techniques.
Who should be trained?
Any lawyer or staff member who handles the first consultation and follow-up with a prospective client.
Can a law firm advertise in India?
Only within narrow limits. The Bar Council of India restricts advertising and solicitation, so we build visibility through informative content, directories and referral relationships instead.
Can we show case wins or client names on our website?
No. Publishing results or testimonials reads as soliciting work, which the Bar Council rules forbid. A website may state your name, contact details, enrolment and areas of practice, and plain explainer articles can sit alongside that.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
