Chemical traders · Buyer persona

Write down who rings, who approves and who pays before the pitch.

A buyer persona for a chemical trader describes the people behind one purchase: the stores head who rings, the safety officer who approves a vendor and the owner who agrees the credit. GullySales builds one persona for each sector you sell to, from your ledger and enquiry history.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For chemical traders

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The caller and the approver are different people”

A stores executive rings for a rate, while the safety officer must accept your documents and the accounts head sets the credit days. A pitch aimed at the caller alone stalls when the approver asks for a paper nobody sent.

  • “The small-unit owner decides on the call”

In a small processing unit the owner places the order personally, settles the rate by phone and pays on a promise. This persona is built around WhatsApp, familiarity and credit, not a vendor form. The persona notes the unit's usual packs and the person who receives the goods at the gate.

  • “A producer's sales head reads you differently”

A producer choosing regional traders weighs the cities you cover, the buyers you hold and your payment record. A persona for that reader shapes the introduction note and little else on your site. It records the regions, the volumes and the chemicals that reader will want to see named.

  • “Laboratories buy small lots by quotation”

A college or testing house raises a requisition, collects quotes and buys from an approved list. Its buyer wants a clean quotation and one contact more than the lowest rate, and a persona records that.

What we do

What we deliver for chemical traders.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A persona for each sector

One written profile for each sector you sell to, such as textile processors or paint units, covering the chemicals bought, the people involved and the questions asked.

Result: Each sector you serve has a profile the team can read in a sitting.

  2. An approval path map

A map of who must say yes in a new factory, from the stores head to the safety officer and the accounts desk.

Result: For any new factory the team can name who approves and what each asks for.

  3. An objection list by persona

The doubts each persona raises, such as credit days, wrong grade or a producer selling direct, with the answer your team gives.

Result: The salesperson has a written answer for each recurring doubt.

  4. A producer-facing profile

A persona for the regional sales head of a producer, setting out what that reader needs to see before listing a trader.

Result: The introduction note answers the questions a producer's sales head asks.

  5. A message-to-person sheet

A sheet matching each persona to the document and message that suits them, so the right paper goes to the right person.

Result: The team knows which document goes to the safety officer and which to the owner.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these chemical traders.

  • Traders in industrial solvents and thinners for paint and coating units
  • Acid and alkali traders supplying textile processors, tanneries and metal finishers
  • Dye and pigment traders serving processing houses and printing units
  • Water treatment and boiler chemical suppliers to hotels, hospitals and factories
  • Food-grade and pharma-grade chemical traders working with batch records
  • Polymer, resin and plastic raw material dealers
  • Laboratory and analytical chemical suppliers to colleges and testing labs
  • Importers who sell by the drum from port-side or bonded storage

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we build a persona without surveys?
Use what you hold: the ledger, the marketplace messages and the salesman's notes on each account. Add a short call to a few regular buyers asking how they chose a supplier. No survey is needed to start.
Should one persona cover paint units and tanneries?
No. They buy different chemicals, ask for different documents and follow different approval steps. Keep one card for each sector and let two cards share a line only where the facts truly match.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
