Chemical traders · Social media

Use LinkedIn and short clips to show a godown a vendor team can trust.

Social media for a chemical trader is a modest job: a business page where purchase officers and producers look, and posts about stock, arrivals and handling. GullySales plans and drafts what goes on those pages and what stays off them.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For chemical traders

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Purchase officers look for suppliers on LinkedIn”

A purchase head or plant manager checks a supplier's profile before a first order. A tidy LinkedIn page with the products, the cities served and a named owner answers the vendor-approval question, while a page of festival greetings does not.

  • “Handling clips show care that a rate cannot”

Short clips of drums labelled, stacked and loaded show a safety officer how the goods are kept. They need the owner's consent and a check that no buyer's name, label or vehicle number appears in the frame.

  • “A post must never become safety advice”

A post explaining how to dilute, mix or store a chemical is an instruction, and one wrong word can hurt someone. Posts point to the producer's data sheet and leave the handling steps to the producer and the buyer's safety officer.

  • “Producers and trade groups watch who posts real stock”

A producer choosing traders for a city, and the association whose members share news, notice a page that reports actual arrivals. A page that shows what landed this week tells them the trader is active and holds what it says.

What we do

What we deliver for chemical traders.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. LinkedIn company page set-up

A page with the business description, products, cities served, godown location and the owner's profile linked.

Result: A vendor team that searches your name finds a complete page.

  2. Stock arrival post template

A fixed layout for announcing a new arrival: chemical, grade, pack and city, with a route to ask for the rate.

Result: Each arrival post carries the same four facts in the same order.

  3. Godown and dispatch clip guide

A shot list for short clips of storage and loading, with a list of what to keep out of the frame.

Result: Every clip is checked against the list before it is posted.

  4. Post review checklist

A checklist run before publishing: no safety instructions, no buyer names without consent, no rates that will go stale.

Result: The owner can show the checklist ticked for any post.

  5. Platform choice note

A short note naming the platforms your buyers use, drawn from who actually enquires, so effort goes where they look.

Result: The owner knows which platforms are in use and which are left alone.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these chemical traders.

  • Traders in industrial solvents and thinners for paint and coating units
  • Acid and alkali traders supplying textile processors, tanneries and metal finishers
  • Dye and pigment traders serving processing houses and printing units
  • Water treatment and boiler chemical suppliers to hotels, hospitals and factories
  • Food-grade and pharma-grade chemical traders working with batch records
  • Polymer, resin and plastic raw material dealers
  • Laboratory and analytical chemical suppliers to colleges and testing labs
  • Importers who sell by the drum from port-side or bonded storage

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do chemical traders need Instagram at all?
Not as a rule. Begin where purchase officers and producers look, which is LinkedIn, and add a video channel for godown walk-throughs. Take up Instagram if your buyers include small shops or laboratories that follow it.
Can we post rates on social media?
You may, but a posted rate goes stale when the producer revises it, and a buyer will hold you to it. Posting stock and arrivals, and giving the rate on the call, keeps the quote current. Check each platform's current rules for chemical posts.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
