Cold-chain logistics providers · Buyer persona

Know the logistics head, the quality head and the owner as three different buyers.

A buyer persona for a cold-chain provider describes who decides on a shipper's side, what each person checks and what makes them stop. GullySales builds these from your own accounts and lost quotes so that each message goes to the person who will read it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Cold chain companies: show a real physical business scene illustrating Chamber readings on one screen. Show the current temperature, and humidity where it is measured, for every chamber, freezer and anteroom fitted with a sensor, with the time each one last reported.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For cold-chain logistics providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The logistics head wants a vehicle that arrives”

This buyer is judged on whether the load moved on time. They ask about availability, the loading slot and the rate, and they remember the last time a vehicle did not turn up. A reply that opens with a quality pack misses the first question.

  • “The quality head wants a record they can file”

This buyer is judged on excursions. They ask for the logger type, the calibration practice and what happens after a fault. A rate sheet sent to them is read as a sign the provider does not understand the question.

  • “The owner of a small dairy or sweet maker decides alone”

In a smaller shipper the owner is the logistics head, the quality head and the payer. They respond to a phone call, a name they have heard from another shipper and a vehicle that can load tonight.

  • “A pharma depot manager follows the head office's list”

Depot managers cannot add a provider without approval from above. The persona here includes the person who approves the vendor, and the document they need before they will even forward your name.

What we do

What we deliver for cold-chain logistics providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Three or four persona sheets

One for each buyer type you meet: logistics head, quality head, small-shipper owner, depot manager, each with the questions they ask and the proof they need.

Result: Sheets your sales team can read before a call.

  2. An objection list per persona

The reasons each buyer gives for not switching, written in their words and paired with the proof that answers each.

Result: A reply ready for each reason a buyer gives.

  3. Message versions by buyer

The same introduction written four ways, each leading with what that buyer checks first.

Result: The first line of each message matches the reader.

  4. A lost-quote review

A sit-down with your sales head over recent lost quotes, sorted by which buyer type said no and why.

Result: A written record of where each persona is lost.

  5. A decision-map for each key account

For each large shipper, who raises the need, who checks quality and who signs, noted on the account record.

Result: Every key account shows who has been met and who has not.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need personas if we have five big shippers?
Yes, for those five. Each has a logistics head, a quality head and a payer, and your account record should show which you know. The persona work is mostly a record of your own contacts.
Where do the personas come from?
From your quotes, calls, lost loads and the questions shippers have already asked. We do not invent buyers. A persona with no real account behind it is dropped.
Do personas change for pharma shippers?
The quality and compliance contact carries more weight, and a vendor approval step sits above the depot. Rules differ by state and body, so the persona records what each shipper tells you it requires.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
