Garment wholesalers · Buyer persona

Write down who actually orders from you, shop by shop, and what each one needs to see.

A buyer persona for a garment wholesaler is a written description of a type of buyer: what they stock, how they decide, what they ask and what makes them leave. GullySales builds the personas from your own bookings and calls, not from assumption.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For garment wholesalers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The town shopkeeper decides on past sell-through”

A multi-brand shop owner in a small town books the designs that sold last season and asks what moved elsewhere. They want a ratio that fits local sizes and a rate that leaves a margin. Telling this buyer how earlier ranges sold, from your records, persuades more than a new photo.

  • “The boutique buyer wants exclusivity of design”

A boutique wants a design that the next shop does not have. They will ask whether a piece has been sold nearby. An answer, backed by a record of which shops took which design, is the difference between a booking and a pause.

  • “The reseller compares bundles and packing”

An online reseller buys small mixed lots and compares several wholesalers on rate, dispatch and the state of the parcel on arrival. They leave if returns are argued, so the terms need to be in writing. This buyer needs clear terms in writing more than a relationship.

  • “The uniform buyer is a committee”

A school, factory or security firm buys on a quotation and an approved sample. The person who requests the quote is not the person who approves it. Knowing both roles lets you send the right document to the right person.

What we do

What we deliver for garment wholesalers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A persona sheet for each buyer type

Shops, boutiques, resellers, sub-wholesalers and uniform buyers described with what they stock, ask and need.

Result: Your team can name the buyer type before the first call.

  2. Questions that each type asks

A list of the questions each persona asks, with the answer you give.

Result: A new salesman answers the way the best one does.

  3. Reasons buyers leave

Complaints and lost accounts grouped by persona and cause, taken from your own records.

Result: You see which type is lost and why.

  4. A tag in the register

Each buyer tagged with a persona so calls and offers are matched.

Result: The register can be sorted by buyer type.

  5. A persona review after each season

A short revision of each sheet based on what the season showed.

Result: The sheets change when the buyers do.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these garment wholesalers.

  • Multi-brand clothing retailers in towns and city markets
  • Boutiques and women's wear shops that buy by the design
  • Kidswear shops and baby-wear sellers
  • Instagram, Meesho and WhatsApp resellers who buy small mixed lots
  • Men's wear shops that stock shirts, trousers and ethnic wear
  • School and workwear uniform suppliers
  • Wedding and festive wear shops that book early
  • Stockists and sub-wholesalers in smaller towns

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How many personas do we need?
Only as many as you have distinct ways of selling. A wholesaler's buyers sort into a few types: shops, boutiques, resellers, sub-wholesalers and uniform buyers. If two groups are offered the same terms and ask the same things, they are one persona.
Where does the information come from?
From your bookings, your salesmen's call notes, returns records and the questions in your messages. GullySales organises what you already hold and asks your team to check each sheet. No buyer detail is invented.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
