Self-storage and storage facilities · Social media

Post what a nervous first-time renter wants to see, and one way to ask.

Social media marketing for a storage facility means showing the place as it is, answering a few common questions and giving one clear way to ask, usually a WhatsApp message. GullySales plans a small, steady set of posts for Instagram, Facebook and a few local groups, without pretending storage is glamorous.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For self-storage and storage facilities

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Nobody follows a storage facility for fun”

The audience is a person who needs space next week, so posts should be useful and local, not entertaining.

  • “Local groups reach people at the right moment”

Apartment resident groups and area community pages are where people ask for storage, and a helpful reply beats an advertisement.

  • “Photographs of tenants' goods are a risk”

A post showing a full unit can expose private belongings or the security arrangements of the building.

What we do

What we deliver for self-storage and storage facilities.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A small post plan around real questions

Posts on what fits in a unit, how move-in works and what cannot be stored, drawn from what the desk is asked.

Result: A follower learns something and sees how to ask.

  2. A walk-through video of a unit and the facility

A short phone video from the gate to a unit and its lock, with subtitles and no tenants in it.

Result: A visitor sees the place before travelling to it.

  3. A local group presence

A manager who answers storage questions in resident and area groups, within each group's rules, with the Business Profile link.

Result: People who ask in a group find you.

  4. A WhatsApp call to action on every post

A single click to message, with a prepared first reply and a named person.

Result: A reader can ask in one step.

  5. A comment and message routine

Who replies, in which language and how price questions move to WhatsApp.

Result: Nobody is left on read.

  6. A report on messages and visits from social

Messages and visits from social media and groups against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You see whether the posts bring people in.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where a storage facility's buyers are on social media, what to post for each and the one action to ask for.

Apartment and area groups on WhatsApp and Facebook
Where a household asks who knows a storage place. Reply when asked, within the group's rules, with the locality and a link to your profile. Do not post repeated adverts, which get you removed.
Instagram and Facebook page
Post a unit walk-through, a what-fits picture and the move-in steps. The one action is a WhatsApp message. Keep the posts few and answer every comment in the same language.
YouTube and short videos
A walk from the gate to the unit and an answer to one common question, such as what you cannot store. Add subtitles. People search on YouTube for how it works before they call.
LinkedIn for business tenants
Reach sellers, accountants and office managers with a business storage post. The one action is a call to discuss access and invoicing. Skip household material here.
What not to post
No photographs of full units, tenant goods, number plates or anything showing how the building is secured. No cheap stock images of someone smiling next to a box.
Reviews and replies shared as posts
With the tenant's consent, share a review that says something specific, such as how move-in went. Keep it short. Do not post only the best, because prospects can read them all on the profile.

Who it is for

This is written for these self-storage and storage facilities.

  • Household self-storage units near apartment clusters
  • Business storage for online sellers and traders
  • Document and records storage
  • Warehouse-style storage let by the pallet or the bay
  • Student and PG storage near colleges and hostels
  • Furniture and relocation storage tied to packers and movers
  • Operators running several branches across a city
  • Landowners and building owners converting space into units

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Your brief

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should be on camera?
The branch manager or the person at the desk, speaking plainly, is enough. Do not film a tenant or their goods without permission, and keep the faces of other customers out.
How should we handle comments and messages?
Reply to every one in the language it was written in, move price and booking to WhatsApp, and answer public questions in public so others can read them. A comment left unanswered looks like an empty place.
Do festivals matter for storage posts?
Mildly. Festival decor storage and the move seasons are real hooks, but a greeting card post adds little. Post when a season changes what people need, and say plainly what they should do.
Can we use customer photographs and stories?
Only with written permission from the tenant, saying where it will appear. Never show goods, labels or addresses that identify someone. A story told without any of that works fine.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
