Agricultural commodity traders · Digital marketing

Put your commodities, grades and registrations where buyers outside the mandi look.

Digital marketing for a commodity trader brings together the website, trade listings, WhatsApp and outreach so that buyers beyond the home mandi can find and judge you. GullySales works on the order of these pieces and on reading what each one brings.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For agricultural commodity traders

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The home mandi limits the buyers you meet”

A trader who sells to whoever stands in the yard meets only buyers willing to travel. Millers, processors and exporters elsewhere never see the stock. Online presence is how those buyers learn the firm exists and what it can supply.

  • “Each digital channel does one job”

Search brings a buyer who is looking, trade listings bring enquirers, WhatsApp keeps regular buyers updated, and direct outreach reaches buyers who have never heard of you. Mixed up, the channels waste effort. With a job each, the partners can see which one earns its keep.

  • “A buyer checks you before replying”

A sourcing desk looks you up before it sends an enquiry. If it finds a thin profile, an outdated listing or nothing, the trust is lost before the first call. A consistent trail of commodities, registrations and quality notes closes that gap.

What we do

What we deliver for agricultural commodity traders.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan by buyer type

A short plan stating which channel reaches millers, exporters, wholesalers and agents, and what each should say.

Result: Each buyer type has a named channel and a named message.

  2. Website and trade listing setup

A commodity-wise site and matching listings on IndiaMART and similar sites.

Result: Your commodities and registrations read the same everywhere.

  3. Outreach to mills and export houses

Lists, notes and calls to sourcing desks outside your mandi.

Result: The target list shows who was approached and what they said.

  4. Lead source tracking

Each enquiry tagged by where it came from, read against invoices.

Result: The partners can tell which channel produced buyers who paid.

  5. Paid promotion trial where suited

A small, bounded test of promotion for one commodity, with the budget set by the partners.

Result: The trial has a stated budget and a record of enquiries received.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Make sure a buyer who checks you finds the same firm.

your firm name with the commodity

commodity trader in the town

trader reviews or references
A page of named references given with permission, the evidence a new buyer looks for before replying.
export quality agri supplier
A listing and a page that speak to exporters in terms of documents, packing and traceability.

Who it is for

This is written for these agricultural commodity traders.

  • Grain and rice traders supplying millers and wholesalers
  • Pulse and dal traders serving processors and retail chains
  • Spice and dry chilli traders selling to masala makers and exporters
  • Oilseed and edible oil raw material traders for crushing units
  • Fruit and vegetable aggregators selling to markets and organised retail
  • Cotton, jute and fibre traders supplying spinning and processing units
  • Jaggery, sugar and sweetener traders
  • Cashew, areca and plantation crop traders buying from growers' groups

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no stock record or grade list to point a buyer to, so a visible presence would only bring enquiries you cannot answer well.
  • Your trade is only walk-in mandi sales to known agents, so digital channels would add cost without reaching a new buyer.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a trader with no online presence begin?
With the commodity pages and a consistent trade listing, because those are what a buyer checks first. Then add WhatsApp lists and outreach. We fix the order after reading your sales book.
Is paid promotion necessary?
No. Some traders do well on listings, search and direct outreach alone. If you want to test paid promotion, try one commodity with a budget you can afford to lose, and read the enquiries against sales.
Which trade listings matter for a commodity trader?
Use the listings that sourcing desks in your commodity already open, such as established B2B directories and the market committee's own pages. Keep the firm name, address and commodity list identical on each, and check each platform's current rules before listing.
How do we show we are a real trader and not a broker?
State what you hold. Show the yard address, the licence or registration you hold, and photographs of your own lots. Buyers distrust middlemen who cannot say where the stock sits, so a visible yard is the strongest signal you can give.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
