Cold-chain logistics providers · Lead generation
Find the shippers whose cargo your reefers already suit, then reach them by name.
Lead generation for a cold-chain provider means identifying the dairies, pharma depots, seafood processors and fruit packers whose temperature band and route match your fleet. GullySales builds the target lists, the route pages and the enquiry capture that put your vehicles in front of those shippers.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means
Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For cold-chain logistics providers
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“A shipper with the wrong cargo is a wasted call”
A fleet set for chilled dairy gets nothing from a call to a frozen-seafood exporter who needs minus eighteen on a port run. Each lead has to be sorted by temperature band and route before anyone dials, or the sales head spends days on conversations that cannot end in a load.
“The quality head and the logistics head are two different leads”
The logistics head wants a vehicle that is free and a rate. The quality head wants logs and a fault procedure. A shipper who has only spoken to one of them has not yet decided, so the lead record should name both and note who has been reached.
“Return legs are a lead source nobody uses”
A reefer coming back from a delivery town with the unit switched off is a vehicle without a load. Shippers in that town who send cold cargo the other way are leads with a built-in reason to talk, because the route already exists.
“Enquiries from load boards arrive without cargo detail”
A caller asking for a rate to a city gives no temperature, weight or loading time. Without a short set of questions asked at the first contact, the quote is a guess and the shipper compares it with three others.
What we do
What we deliver for cold-chain logistics providers.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A shipper list sorted by cargo and route
Dairies, ice cream makers, seafood processors, pharma distributors and fruit packers near your base, each marked with cargo type, usual destination and the person to ask for.
Result: A list your sales head can call from, grouped by temperature band.
Return-leg shipper search
A list of cold-cargo shippers in the towns your reefers already deliver to, matched to the route home.
Result: Each outward route has named shippers for the way back.
A booking-question set for first contact
Cargo, temperature band, weight, route, loading time and pre-cooling need, asked in the same order on the form, the call and the WhatsApp reply.
Result: Every enquiry arrives with the details needed to quote.
Lead record with two contacts per shipper
A shared sheet that holds the logistics contact, the quality contact, the cargo and the last conversation.
Result: You can see which shippers have been reached on both sides.
A trial-trip offer for one named route
A short note offering a single trip on a single route, so a shipper can test your records without committing to a contract.
Result: A shipper can say yes or no to one trip.
How the result is measured
- Enquiries generated
- Cost per enquiry
- Enquiries by source
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to capture or send
What a reefer operator records on a first call with a shipper.
- Cargo and its temperature band
- Write what the shipper loads and the band it must hold, chilled or frozen. A vehicle that cannot hold the band is the end of that lead.
- Pickup point and drop points
- Record the plant or cold store and each delivery town. It shows whether the route matches a lane you run or a return leg you can fill.
- Load size and pack type
- Pallets, crates or insulated boxes decide the vehicle. The dispatcher quotes from this, not from the shipper's first line.
- Who in quality will sign off
- Name the logistics contact and the quality contact separately. The quality head asks for the records and may decide before the trial trip.
- Current provider and what failed
- A shipper who left a provider after a fault is open to a trial. Note the reason in the shipper's words, without criticising the other firm.
Who it is for
This is written for these cold-chain logistics providers.
- Reefer truck operators for dairy, ice cream and frozen foods
- Temperature-controlled transport for pharma and healthcare distributors
- Seafood and meat transport from ports and processing units
- Fruit, vegetable and flower carriers on long routes
- Multi-temperature vehicle and shared reefer load operators
- Insulated box and last-mile cold delivery services
- Cold chain providers serving retail and QSR chains
- Reefer container haulage near ports and inland depots
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- You have no spare vehicle or driver for a trial trip, so a new lead would meet a refusal.
- Your logs and fault procedure are not written down, so a quality head's first request would stall the lead.
- You want pharma shippers but hold no records of controlled runs, so leads would expect proof you cannot show yet.
How it works
How the lead generation work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Understand your capacity
We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.
- 2
Audit current sources
We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.
- 3
Strategise the channel mix
Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.
- 4
Implement capture and follow-up
Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.
- 5
Measure and optimise
Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
