Medical consumable manufacturers · Buyer persona

Know the stores manager, the nurse and the distributor before you send the sample.

A buyer persona for a medical consumable manufacturer is a written profile of each person who can approve or block your item: what they worry about, what they check and what they need from you. GullySales builds these profiles from your own sales history and conversations, so they describe your buyers and not a textbook.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For medical consumable manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The stores manager worries about stock-outs and rejections”

This buyer wants a supplier who delivers on time and takes back a rejected batch without a quarrel. A message about price alone misses the worry that decides who is kept as a supplier.

  • “The nursing superintendent decides what is acceptable”

The nurse cares about fit, feel, packing and ease of opening. These are things a data sheet cannot show, so the sample and a feedback sheet carry the argument. If the nurse rejects the item, price is never discussed.

  • “The distributor judges you on margin and support”

A distributor weighs payment terms, stock availability and how you handle a complaint. The profile of this buyer is closer to a trader than a clinician, and the sales pitch for them must be different.

  • “The tender officer follows a checklist”

This reader scans for licences, certificates and past supply, and rejects a bid for a missing paper. The persona's need is completeness and clarity, with no persuasion at all.

What we do

What we deliver for medical consumable manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A profile for each buyer role

Written profiles for the stores manager, the nurse, the infection control lead, the distributor and the tender officer.

Result: Your sales team can read what each role worries about before a call.

  2. A question list from your own sales team

Interviews with your salespeople and distributors on why items were accepted or dropped.

Result: The profiles quote the reasons your own buyers gave, in their words.

  3. A message map by persona

For each profile, the points to lead with, the documents to attach and the points to avoid.

Result: A salesperson knows what to send to which person.

  4. A mapping of buyers to the decision steps

A simple chart of who acts at sample, trial, rate comparison and order.

Result: You can see which step has no named contact in a hospital.

  5. A review after real conversations

The profiles are corrected after the first rounds of calls and samples.

Result: The final profiles reflect what buyers actually said.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need a persona if we sell only through distributors?
Yes. The distributor is a buyer with its own persona, and the hospital user behind it still decides whether the item is reordered. Knowing both helps you support the distributor.
How are the personas built?
From your sales records, interviews with your team and distributors, and the tender and vendor forms you already hold. We do not invent buyers or quote numbers that you cannot trace.
Does a persona replace talking to buyers?
No. It organises what you already learn from them. New conversations should keep correcting the profiles, and we update them when the sales team brings back something new.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
