Specialty chemical manufacturers · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a plant chemist finds when they search for the problem, not the product.

SEO for a specialty chemical manufacturer is the work of making your applications, grades and documents findable by the technical people who search for them. Few buyers know your brand, so the search is for a function, a defect or a chemical name. GullySales works on how the site is organised, what each page says and which documents a searcher can open.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For specialty chemical manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Searchers type the function or the fault”

A process chemist searches for what the chemical does, such as dispersing, levelling or stabilising, or for the name of a fault in the finished product. A site that lists items by internal code is invisible to that search, however good the chemistry.

  • “Chemical names have spellings and synonyms”

The same material appears under a trade name, a chemical name and a common name used on the shop floor. Each page should state the names a buyer might use, once and plainly, so the search engine and the reader both recognise the product.

  • “Data sheets locked in PDFs go unread”

A technical data sheet that sits behind a form, or inside a scanned image, cannot be found or quoted. A page that summarises the application in text and links the document gives search something to read and the chemist something to download.

  • “Overseas and Indian buyers search differently”

An importer searches in English with regulatory words attached. A Tiruppur or Vapi processor may search with the local trade term. One page cannot serve both well, so the pages are planned by buyer and market.

What we do

What we deliver for specialty chemical manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Application and process page structure

A plan for the site that groups products by the process they serve and the problem they solve, with one page per application.

Result: Each page answers one search a technical buyer would type.

  2. Product naming and synonym pass

A list of the trade, chemical and shop-floor names for each product, written into the page copy in plain sentences.

Result: A buyer using any familiar name reaches the same product page.

  3. Document pages in readable text

Data sheets and safety data sheets presented with a text summary and a direct download, with no form in the way.

Result: A chemist can read, quote and download without leaving a phone number.

  4. Page titles and descriptions

Titles and descriptions written for the defect or function, not the company name alone, for each application page.

Result: Search results show the problem the page solves.

  5. Search enquiry review

A look at which searches led to sample requests and which led nowhere, used to rewrite pages.

Result: You can see which pages bring technical buyers and which do not.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Your brief

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long before the site ranks?
Nobody can honestly promise a ranking or a date. Search position depends on competition, the pages and the site's history. What we can do is set the site up so that each page answers a real search, then read the results with you.
Do we need a blog for SEO?
Not as such. Application notes that explain a process problem and its remedy do the same job and are more useful to a chemist than general articles. Write them only where your technical team has something specific to say.
Is it risky to publish technical data online?
Publish what you are content for competitors to read. Keep customer-specific dosage and process settings for the technical call. Your own technical head decides where that line sits.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
