Mining and quarrying companies · Sales process

Turn a phone call about a load into a delivered order, step by step.

A sales process for a quarry or mining company is the order of steps from the first call to the delivered load and the payment. Each step has an owner and a note to be written. GullySales draws it from how your office already works, then fills the gaps where quotes and payments get lost.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales process means

A sales process is the fixed sequence of steps, such as enquiry, site visit, quote and order, that every deal is expected to pass through in the same order. GullySales writes this sequence down for your business and checks that every salesperson actually follows it.

For mining and quarrying companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Quotes go out without the delivery distance”

A rate given without the site gets a price that is wrong by the next call. The buyer then thinks the quarry changed the rate.

  • “Nobody owns the step after the quote”

The quote goes out on WhatsApp and the next call depends on mood. The buyer who got three quotes picks the one who rang again.

  • “Credit is decided on the loading ramp”

A driver is told to load for a buyer on a phone call from the owner. A sales process that checks credit before the quote avoids the argument at the gate.

What we do

What we deliver for mining and quarrying companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Written steps from enquiry to payment

A one-page process naming each step, who does it and what is written down.

Result: New staff can run it without asking.

  2. Standard quote format

A quote that states material, grade, quantity, loading point, distance, rate basis and the date it is valid to.

Result: The buyer can compare you with others on the same terms.

  3. Credit check before the quote

A rule on who may buy on credit and up to what limit, agreed with accounts.

Result: Credit is decided in the office, not at the gate.

  4. Follow-up rule after a quote

A rule on who calls, on which day and what is asked, with the result noted.

Result: A quote that was not answered gets a second chance.

  5. Delivery and payment handover

A checklist covering the challan, the weighbridge slip, the receiver's sign-off and the invoice.

Result: A disputed load can be settled from paper.

How the result is measured

  • Deals following the process
  • Time spent at each step
  • Drop-off rate by step

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Steps of a sale

The steps from a call to a payment at a quarry, named the way the trade says them.

Enquiry
Take the name, site, material, quantity and date. Note the source of the call. Reply on WhatsApp to confirm what was understood.
Qualify
Check the site is inside your delivery belt, the grade is one you make and the buyer's credit is clear. Say no early to a site your tippers cannot serve.
Site visit or sample
For a large or regular buyer, send a sample or visit the site. Note the access road, the unloading point and who will receive the material.
Quote
Send the quote in writing with grade, quantity, distance, rate basis and validity. State what is included, such as loading and transport.
Follow-up and close
Call the day after the quote and again before it lapses. Ask what the buyer is comparing. Confirm the order in writing with the delivery date.
Delivery and handover
Check loading, the challan and the receiver's signature. Ask the buyer next day how the material was. Note the next pour date.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales process work runs

  1. 1

    Study current deal flow

We trace how deals actually move today, comparing across reps and outcomes.

  2. 2

    Define the stages

Clear stages and criteria are designed to match how deals genuinely progress and close.

  3. 3

    Configure the CRM

The process is built into your CRM so it is enforced structurally, not just documented.

  4. 4

    Train the team

Reps are trained on the new process and why each stage exists.

  5. 5

    Review adoption

We check after rollout whether the process is being followed and adjust where it is not.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should handle which step?
The office takes the enquiry, quote and follow-up. The supervisor handles loading and the challan. Accounts checks credit before a quote. Write each name beside its step so nobody assumes.
When should we send a quote?
Once you know the site, the grade and the quantity. A quote sent before those are known is a guess and will be changed. Asking three questions first looks more serious, not less.
What do we do with a buyer who only asks for the lowest rate?
Give the rate for his site with the terms in writing, and ask what he is comparing. A rate with no distance or credit terms is not comparable. If he only wants the lowest, let him go without a discount war.
Can we add a step later?
Yes. Add it when you see the same problem twice, such as disputes over quantity at unloading. Put it in writing, name an owner and try it on a few orders before it becomes the rule.
Do we need advertising, or are pages and a phone enough?
Pages and a phone that is answered come first. Search advertising adds value for one material and one delivery area once those work. A quarry with regular buyers may not need much more.
Can you promote a quarry without us sharing lease or permit papers?
A larger buyer will ask for your papers, so we ask to see them too. Lease, permit, transport and environmental rules for mining and quarrying differ by state and change, so your own adviser confirms the current ones. We never describe a permit we have not seen, and we never advertise a grade or a quantity your papers do not cover.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
