Educational associations · Search engine optimisation

Make the association easy to find for the principal who searches its name.

SEO for an educational association means that a principal, a trustee or a vendor who searches for the body, its events or its circulars lands on a page the association controls. GullySales works on the pages, titles and structure that make those searches answerable.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For educational associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The first search is the association's own name”

A principal hears of the body at a meeting and searches for it that evening. If the result is an old news item or a stranger's page, the first impression is lost. The association's own pages must hold the top of that search.

  • “Event names are searched after the invitation arrives”

An invitation to a conference or workshop sends the reader to a search box to check it. A page for each event, with the programme, venue and speakers, answers that search before the reader doubts the invitation.

  • “Members search for the circular, not the association”

A school administrator looks for the fee circular or the teacher training notice by its subject. A public summary page titled in the words the circular uses brings that reader to the association's site.

  • “Old pages mislead”

A conference page from three years ago, still live and still ranking, tells a vendor the body is inactive. Past events need an archive page that says plainly they are past.

What we do

What we deliver for educational associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Page plan for the association's website

A list of the pages the site needs: about, membership, benefits, each event, each programme, circulars and contact.

Result: A plan that shows which search each page is meant to answer.

  2. Titles and descriptions for every page

Short, plain titles that carry the association's name, the topic and the place.

Result: Each page names itself clearly in the search result.

  3. Event and programme pages with fixed layout

One layout for every conference, workshop and awards entry, with dates, venue, speakers and registration.

Result: A reader finds the same facts in the same place on every event.

  4. Archive for past events

A page for each past event, marked as held, with a photo set and a speaker list the association owns.

Result: Old events stop reading as upcoming ones.

  5. Search check on the association's name

A short list of searches a principal would run, and what each now shows.

Result: A record of what appears today and which page is meant to appear.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will you promise a ranking for the association?
No. Rankings depend on the search engine and on other sites. We prepare the pages and the structure, and we show you what the searches display so you can judge the change yourself.
Do we need a blog for SEO?
Not by default. A clear page for each event, programme and circular matters more. A blog earns its place when the association has explanations members keep asking for.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
