Industry associations · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp for member notices and quick replies without turning it into noise.

WhatsApp marketing for an industry association is the planned use of messages and groups to reach member companies and prospects. GullySales sets out what is sent, to whom and with whose consent.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For industry associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Member groups drift into forwards”

A group started for notices fills with greetings and forwarded images. Directors mute it, and the one message that mattered, a rule change or a delegation notice, is missed.

  • “Messages need the person's agreement”

A company contact who did not agree to receive messages will block the number. Collecting agreement at joining and at each event keeps the list usable.

  • “A notice and a conversation are different jobs”

A broadcast tells members something. A reply to a question is a conversation. Mixing them confuses the reader, and the secretariat answers the same question many times.

  • “Prospects prefer a short first message”

A managing director who receives a long pitch from an unknown number deletes it. A short note from a member who made the introduction is read.

What we do

What we deliver for industry associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Group and broadcast plan

A written rule for which groups exist, who posts and what is allowed.

Result: Members know what each group is for.

  2. Consent capture

A line on the joining form and event desk to record agreement to receive messages.

Result: Each number on the list has a recorded agreement.

  3. Notice templates

Short formats for a rule change, an event invitation and a renewal reminder.

Result: Notices read the same way each time.

  4. Reply desk routine

A named person and a set of ready answers for common questions.

Result: Questions get an answer from one desk.

  5. Prospect first-message note

A short opening message for a prospect, sent after a member's introduction.

Result: The first message is brief and names the introducer.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we use the WhatsApp Business app or the API?
Start with the Business app if one desk handles replies. Move to the API when volume demands it. Check the platform's current rules before sending bulk messages.
Can we add members to a group ourselves?
Ask first. Send an invitation and let each person join, so the group is made of people who want it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
