Equipment rental companies · Local SEO

Win the map result inside the radius your driver can actually reach.

Local search decides which yard appears on the map when somebody looks for a lift or a trencher near them. For a rental business the answer has to match your delivery radius. GullySales builds the Business Profile, the yard photographs and the service area so the calls you get are ones you can serve.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For equipment rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The map result answers the availability question first”

A caller wants to know you have it and can get it there. Categories, hours and a delivery note on the profile settle half of that before the phone rings.

  • “Your radius is a delivery decision, not a marketing one”

A search from forty miles out is a haul charge that kills the rental. The service area should stop where the driver's day stops.

  • “Photographs of the yard beat photographs of machines”

Manufacturer images tell a contractor nothing. A row of your own lifts, your trucks and the counter tell the contractor you stock this and somebody is there.

  • “A second yard needs its own profile, not a footnote”

Each branch has its own hours, its own stock and its own driver. One profile covering both puts the wrong yard in front of the nearer customer.

What we do

What we deliver for equipment rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile built for a same-day renter

Hours, categories stocked, delivery note, after-hours arrangements and directions a truck can follow, not just a pin on a road.

Result: The profile answers before your counter does.

  2. Service area drawn to your delivery reality

Towns and ZIP codes set to where a driver can take a machine out and get back inside a day, rather than to an ambitious circle.

Result: Calls come from places you can serve at a sensible haul rate.

  3. Yard and fleet photographs taken on site

Your own machines, trucks, counter and gate, captioned by category and refreshed as the fleet changes.

Result: A first-time caller sees a real yard.

  4. The counter's questions answered on the profile

Delivery charges, trailer requirements, weekend collection and operator expectations, written into the profile's questions section.

Result: Ten minutes of counter time comes back every day.

  5. Each branch given its own profile and reviews

Separate profiles, hours, photographs and review routines per yard, checked for duplicate listings and wrong map pins.

Result: The nearest branch is the one that shows.

  6. Map position tracked by category and town

Where you sit for each machine category in each town you serve, reported against the starting position.

Result: You can see the towns you are invisible in.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a contractor nearby finds a rental yard with the right machine, and what to fix first.

Equipment rental agency
Set Equipment rental agency as the main category, and add Tool rental service or Party equipment rental only if the yard really does it. A mixed profile brings calls for tents when you rent aerial lifts.
Machines by the names crews use
List boom lifts, skid steers, mini excavators, generators and pumps as services, the way a crew says them. State what comes with the rental, such as operator, fuel or delivery, in a line for each.
Hours that match the crew
Crews collect before work starts. Show the hours the yard opens and the hours returns are accepted. Add the after-hours drop procedure in the description. A yard that looks closed when the crew arrives loses the job.
Yelp, the Chamber and the association list
Claim Yelp and your Chamber of Commerce listing, and the American Rental Association member locator if you belong. Match the yard name, address and phone exactly to Maps.
Yard photographs and signage
Show the gate, the sign, the yard with machines parked, and the counter. A driver delivering to a crew who cannot find the gate is a lost customer. Put the entrance instruction in the description.
Reviews naming the machine and the job
Ask contractors after a return, and ask them to name the machine and the job type. A review that says a lift was ready on time for a roofing job is worth more to a searcher than a rating.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We deliver and do not want walk-ins. Does that change the profile?
It changes what you show, not whether you have one. Keep the address if a customer can collect, and set the service area to where you deliver. A yard nobody walks into still needs hours and a number somebody answers.
Do reviews affect where we appear on the map?
They are part of it, along with how complete the profile is and how near the searcher happens to be. Recent reviews mentioning delivery count for more than a pile from four years ago.
Should we list equipment with daily rates in the products section?
Avoid fixed rates, because they vary by season, duration and delivery. List the machine with a clear photograph and say call for rate and availability. That keeps the profile accurate and gets you a conversation, where you can ask for the site and the dates.
Our dispatch phone and counter phone are different. Which goes on the profile?
Put the counter number, answered by a person during yard hours, as the main phone. Put the dispatch number in the description with what it handles. Use the same pair on every listing. A customer who reaches dispatch for a rate wastes a driver's time.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
