Subscription businesses · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a searcher finds when they want a plan, not just a product.

SEO for a subscription business is making your plan pages findable for the searches people type when they are choosing something to pay for repeatedly. GullySales works on plan pages, comparison questions and the cancellation answers searchers look for.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For subscription businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “People search for the plan, the price and the exit”

A visitor types the name of a meal plan with the word price, or asks whether a service can be cancelled. A site that talks only about the product misses the search. The pages that win answer cost, pause and cancellation in plain words.

  • “One page for every plan hides all of them”

A single pricing page that lists every plan in a table gives search engines one thing to rank. A page per plan, with its own audience, menu or features, can match a narrower search such as a vegetarian plan for working couples.

  • “Comparison searches arrive before the sign-up”

A buyer who is deciding between your plan and a rival's, or between a subscription and a one-off purchase, reads a comparison. If you have written an honest one, you are the page they read. If you have not, a third party decides what is said about you.

  • “Cancellation pages are searched by members too”

A current member who cannot find how to pause searches for it. A clear pause and cancel page serves them and shows a new buyer that leaving is easy, which removes the main doubt about signing up.

What we do

What we deliver for subscription businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A plan-by-plan page structure

Each plan with its own page, audience, inclusions, price and a clear sign-up route.

Result: Every plan has an address a searcher can land on.

  2. A map of the searches buyers use

The words people use for your product, price, trial and cancellation, collected from search suggestions and your own enquiries.

Result: You hold a list of searches matched to pages.

  3. Pause, skip and cancel pages

Plain pages explaining how a member changes or stops a plan, written to be found.

Result: A member searching for how to pause lands on your answer.

  4. Comparison and question pages

Honest pages on subscription versus single order, or plan A versus plan B, in the buyer's own questions.

Result: The comparison a buyer reads is one you wrote.

  5. Technical checks for plan pages

Titles, page speed on a phone, indexing and structured plan details checked and fixed.

Result: Plan pages open well on a phone and are readable by search engines.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Will SEO bring members?
It brings searchers who are already looking for something like your plan. GullySales makes the plan pages findable and clear. Rankings and sign-ups are not promised, since they depend on competitors and on your offer.
Should plan prices be on the page?
Yes, state the first-month and later-month price. A searcher who has to ask loses interest, and a visitor who finds a surprise at checkout cancels. Clear pricing also matches the searches that include the word price.
Do I need a blog?
Only if you answer real questions. A short page that settles pause, delivery or renewal is worth more than a post written to fill a calendar. We start with the questions your members already put to you.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
