Subscription businesses · Content marketing

Write for the doubt a buyer has before paying, and the member after.

Content marketing for a subscription business is writing and recording the answers a buyer needs before signing up and the guidance a member needs to keep using the plan. GullySales works on that content as part of acquisition and retention together.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the first conversation onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For subscription businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer's doubt is about month two”

What the first month costs is easy to find. What the second costs, whether a box can be skipped and what happens on a holiday are not. Content that answers these directly does the work a salesperson would do on a call.

  • “A member who does not understand the product leaves”

A learning membership with unwatched modules or an app with unused features loses its members quietly. A short guide that shows the first useful step is retention content, though it looks like a how-to post.

  • “Stories about the maker earn trust for a recurring bill”

A subscription asks for repeated trust. A short account of how the food is sourced and packed, or how the magazine is edited, gives a buyer a reason to hand over a standing payment. It must be true, specific and free of invented figures.

  • “Content for lapsed members goes unwritten”

Nearly all content is written for new buyers. A note to someone who left, saying what the menu, the app or the schedule now offers, speaks to a person who already knows you. It is a different piece from an acquisition post.

What we do

What we deliver for subscription businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A buyer-question library

The questions asked before sign-up, collected from your messages and answered in short pages.

Result: Common questions have a page to link.

  2. Onboarding guides for members

Short pieces or videos showing the first useful step with the product.

Result: A new member can find the first step without asking.

  3. A maker or kitchen story page

A true, specific account of how the product is made and delivered, with your own photographs.

Result: A buyer can see who stands behind the plan.

  4. A lapsed-member note set

Messages and pages for those who left, describing what has changed since.

Result: A returning member can see why to come back.

  5. An editorial list tied to the member journey

A list of pieces matched to the trial, first renewal and later stages, kept in a shared document.

Result: Each stage of membership has content assigned to it.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the content marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm the plan

Topics and formats for the coming month are confirmed against the content strategy.

  2. 2

    Produce and review

Content is written or filmed, then reviewed by someone who knows your trade before it goes out.

  3. 3

    Publish and distribute

Finished content is published to the site and pushed through the channels your buyers actually use.

  4. 4

    Track enquiries

Enquiries are traced back to content where a direct line exists, and reported honestly where it does not.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

We report results and adjust the next topics based on what actually worked.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much should we write?
Enough to answer the questions members actually ask, and no more. A few clear pages beat a long calendar of posts. GullySales starts with the questions already in your messages.
Should content be for buyers or members?
Both. Buyers need the answer to price and exit. Members need help to use the product. We divide the plan between them so retention is not left out.
Can we reuse the same content on WhatsApp and the website?
Yes, with edits to suit each. A web page can run long. A WhatsApp message should be short and link to the page.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
