Theatre and performing arts companies · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a nearby audience searches for an evening out.

Local SEO for a theatre company is the work on the Google Business Profile, the venue listings and the local pages that put the company in front of people in its own city. GullySales works on the profile, the venue information and the review replies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For theatre and performing arts companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The company may not own a venue, yet needs a profile”

A touring or hired-hall company still has a rehearsal space, an office or a studio that can carry a profile. It gives the company an address, a phone number and photographs on the map.

  • “The venue's page and yours must agree”

A play listed at a hall with a different date on the venue's site and the company's page confuses the buyer. Matching details across the two builds trust.

  • “Audiences ask how to reach the hall”

A first-time theatre-goer wonders about parking, the entrance, the seating and the language of the show. A short guide on the profile and the page answers before the buyer asks.

  • “Reviews on the map shape the next visit”

A visitor's comment on the company's studio or workshop room is read by schools and parents. A reply from the company shows the space is looked after.

What we do

What we deliver for theatre and performing arts companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Google Business Profile for the company

Name, type of business, address or service area, hours, phone and website set up correctly.

Result: The company appears with accurate details on the map.

  2. Venue pages for each regular hall

A page for each venue the company plays, with directions, parking and seating notes.

Result: An audience member can plan the visit from one page.

  3. A photograph set

Rehearsal room, performances, workshops, the lobby and the audience, each labelled.

Result: The profile shows the company at work.

  4. A review reply guide

Short replies for praise, a complaint about seating or sound, and a question about a workshop.

Result: Every review gets a reply in the company's voice.

  5. Local landing pages

Pages for the neighbourhoods and nearby towns the company serves, naming the route to its performances.

Result: A search with a locality name finds the company.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can a company with no studio have a profile?
A service-area profile is possible when the company serves customers at their locations. Google sets the rules for this, so GullySales checks the platform's current rules with the owner before setting it up.
What should we do about a venue that lists wrong details?
Write to the venue with the correct details and ask for an update. Keep the company's own page correct meanwhile, and link to the venue's booking page only once the details match.
Do local pages help workshops?
They help a school or parent searching with a locality. Each page should name the area, the age group and the way to enquire, with details that are true for the company.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
