Wedding venues · Local SEO

Appear on the map when a family searches for a wedding lawn near their area.

Local SEO for a wedding venue is how your Google Business Profile and map listing show up when a family or planner searches for a lawn or farmhouse near a place. GullySales works on the listing, the photographs and the reviews that the map result is judged on.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For wedding venues

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The listing is the first look at the venue”

A family sees the map result before the website. The first photograph, the rating and the distance decide whether they tap, so the cover image has to show a real event and not an empty lawn.

  • “The wrong place type hides the venue”

A profile listed as a restaurant or a hotel misses the searches for wedding venues. Choosing the type that matches what you rent, and adding the events you host, puts the listing in front of the right search.

  • “Venues on the outskirts are searched by direction”

Families look for a farmhouse "on the Mysuru road" or "near the airport". The listing and the venue page need those road and landmark names, because that is how the search is typed.

  • “Reviews come from two audiences”

Couples and planners both write about a venue. A review from a planner about access, vendors and staff carries a different weight from a review of the evening, and both help the family reading them.

What we do

What we deliver for wedding venues.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified profile with the right type

The listing set up and verified, with a venue type that matches what you rent and every event hosted listed.

Result: The venue appears for wedding venue searches near you.

  2. A photograph set from real weddings

Cover image, entrance, stage, dining area, bridal room and the venue at night, added with the couple's consent.

Result: The first image shows a wedding in the venue.

  3. Landmarks and roads in the description

A description naming the roads, junctions and nearby places families use to find the venue.

Result: Searches by direction match the listing.

  4. A review request after each event

A message to the couple and the planner after the wedding, with the review link ready.

Result: New reviews arrive from recent events.

  5. Directions and call counts read from the listing

The listing's own record of direction requests and calls, noted at the start and read again later.

Result: You see whether the listing sends visitors.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these wedding venues.

  • Lawns and gardens in city outskirts
  • Farmhouses hired for the wedding events
  • Heritage havelis and palace properties
  • Beachside and lakeside venues
  • Resort lawns that rent only the open area
  • Temple-side and riverside ghat-style venues
  • Venues attached to a hotel that take outside planners
  • Farm and orchard venues run by a landowning family

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We hire out a resort lawn. Is the resort's listing ours?
Not unless the lawn has its own name, phone and address. If it does, a separate listing may be allowed. Check the platform's current rules, and keep the names the same on the venue page.
Should we answer reviews from planners?
Yes, in the same plain manner as any review. A reply that names the access, parking or vendor arrangement shows the next planner how the venue works with outside teams.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
