Advertising film studios · Digital marketing

Choose the few online places where a producer or founder looks for a film house.

Digital marketing for an ad film studio is the choice and joining-up of website, search, LinkedIn, Instagram, email and WhatsApp that put the roster in front of buyers. GullySales works on which channels earn a place and how each leads back to the roster and the brief form.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For advertising film studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The studio is judged by its own online work”

A film house with a dated site and a confusing showreel looks careless about the details of production. The studio's own presence is a sample of the craft it sells, and a producer reads it that way.

  • “Paid ads suit direct briefs, not agency ones”

Agency producers are reached by introductions and past jobs. Paid search and LinkedIn can reach a founder looking for a product film. Spend belongs where the direct buyer is, and a record of enquiries shows whether it is worth continuing.

  • “Email still reaches the agency desk”

A producer reads a note that is addressed by name and tied to a campaign they are likely to handle, with a roster link. A general newsletter to every agency is deleted unread and costs the studio its goodwill.

  • “Every channel needs one destination”

Posts, ads, emails and messages should end at the roster or the brief form, not the home page. A visitor made to hunt for a director's reel leaves before finding it.

What we do

What we deliver for advertising film studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Channel choice note

A short document naming the channels the studio will use, the ones it will not, and the reason for each.

Result: The team can say why each channel is on or off the list.

  2. Tagged links to the roster

Each channel's link carries a tag so an enquiry can be traced to the post, mail or ad that brought it.

Result: Enquiries show the channel they came through.

  3. Email introductions by agency

Personal notes to named producers with a roster link and one fitting film, written one agency at a time.

Result: Each note names its recipient and a film from their sector.

  4. LinkedIn presence

A studio page and director profiles that use the same names, descriptions and links as the website.

Result: The studio looks the same in search, in the feed and on the site.

  5. Small paid test for direct briefs

A limited paid campaign aimed at product film and brand film searches, with a spending ceiling set first.

Result: You can compare money spent with enquiries received.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these advertising film studios.

  • Full-service ad film houses with a director roster
  • Boutique production houses led by one director
  • Digital-first film studios making social and performance ads
  • Product and food film specialists
  • Corporate film and brand documentary studios
  • Production service companies that execute for agency-led shoots
  • Fashion and lifestyle ad film houses
  • Regional-language ad film studios

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The reel has no single home, so every channel would point somewhere different.
  • You wish to run paid ads for agency briefs, which come through people and not through search.
  • No one will answer a brand enquiry from the site, so ads would buy leads that go cold.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we run ads?
Try them for direct brand briefs only, with a spending limit you set and enquiries recorded by source. For agency work, a list of named producers and a clear roster do more than an ad.
Which platform matters most?
LinkedIn and email reach agency producers. Search and Instagram reach founders. Look at where your last briefs began and choose from that record, not from what other studios are doing.
Where should paid ads send a direct brand?
To one page made for that brand, not to the home page. The page should show relevant work, a cost guide and a brief form. A brand who clicks wants to know what a film involves, and a reel alone does not answer it. Test with a small spend first.
Is email still worth writing to an agency desk?
Yes, if each note is addressed to a named producer and carries one relevant link. Agency desks are crowded and a mass note is deleted. Mention a film you saw from that agency, attach the roster link and ask nothing larger than a meeting.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
