Advertising film studios · WhatsApp marketing

Answer a reel request on WhatsApp with a link, not a heavy file.

WhatsApp marketing for an ad film studio means using the app where producers and brand founders already talk, to share reels, case sheets and the brief form. GullySales works on the business profile, the saved replies and the rule for when the executive producer takes over.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For advertising film studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Producers ask for reels in a message”

A request arrives between meetings. A reply with the roster link and one fitting film answers it in a tap. A large file or a cold attachment sends the producer to the next house on the list.

  • “A link travels better than a video”

Video files clog a phone and are forgotten. A link to the roster page opens on any handset and always shows the current reel. It also lets you see, through the page, which films were opened.

  • “Consent comes before any broadcast”

Agency producers did not ask to join a list. Send updates only to those who agreed, honour a request to stop, and check the platform's current rules on business messaging before sending to a group.

  • “The chat is where changes get agreed”

On a shoot, clients alter asks over WhatsApp. If agreement stays in a thread, nobody finds it later. Confirming each change in a short written message, and copying it to the cost record, protects the studio at billing.

What we do

What we deliver for advertising film studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. WhatsApp Business profile

Business name, description, address and the roster link set up on the studio's own number.

Result: A producer who saves the number sees the studio's name and link.

  2. Saved replies

Ready answers for a reel request, a quote request, a director availability check and a brief form request.

Result: The common requests get the same clear reply from anyone on the team.

  3. Handover rule

A written rule on when a message passes from the person on the desk to the producer or the executive producer.

Result: No agency message waits because nobody knows whose it is.

  4. Opt-in capture

A simple way to record that a contact agreed to receive studio updates, and a list of those who asked to stop.

Result: Every broadcast goes only to people with a recorded yes.

  5. Chat-to-record habit

A routine for copying agreed changes and approvals from chats into the job record.

Result: Each client change can be traced to a message.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Messages an ad film studio sends producers on WhatsApp.

Reel link in reply to a request
A link to the roster page and the one director's reel the producer asked for, with the director's name in the message.
Treatment sent notice
A message that the treatment is in the producer's email, with the director's one-line idea and the date the agency asked for it.
Schedule change on a shoot
A message to the producer and agency lead with the new call time and the reason, so the change is on record.
Approval of a cut
A message that restates the version reviewed and the changes agreed, which the producer answers in writing.
Opt-in for studio updates
A line a producer replies to before any later message, recorded against the contact so a broadcast goes only to those who agreed.

Who it is for

This is written for these advertising film studios.

  • Full-service ad film houses with a director roster
  • Boutique production houses led by one director
  • Digital-first film studios making social and performance ads
  • Product and food film specialists
  • Corporate film and brand documentary studios
  • Production service companies that execute for agency-led shoots
  • Fashion and lifestyle ad film houses
  • Regional-language ad film studios

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The reel is a heavy file with no link, and the chat would fill with failed uploads.
  • Directors deal with clients on their own phones, so the studio would not see a thread when a dispute arises.
  • You plan to send the reel to every agency number you hold, whether or not they asked.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send our reel to many producers at once?
Only to people who agreed to receive it. A personal message with a link to a named producer is better received than a broadcast. Check the platform's current rules before sending any group message.
Should directors use their own numbers for clients?
Keep client conversations on the studio's business number so the history stays with the house if the director is on a shoot or moves on. The producer can introduce the director inside the chat.
Can a change in a chat count as agreed?
Only if it is written back and answered. Restate the change, the cost effect and the date, and ask for a written yes. A chat read in a hurry does not settle who agreed to what, and a shoot day with the wrong call time is costly for both sides.
Should unreleased work be shared in a chat?
Not without the agency's consent. A frame from an unreleased campaign can leak from a phone, and the studio would carry the blame. Share it through a private reel page with a password, and say in the message that it is confidential.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.
