EV charging station operators · Digital marketing

Spend where a driver or a host is about to decide, not where the crowd is.

Digital marketing for a charging operator is the combined use of listings, search, ads, social media and messages to reach drivers, fleets and hosts. GullySales works on choosing the channels, setting the order and reading the results.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For EV charging station operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Drivers and hosts need separate routes”

A driver needs a pin, a route page and a nearby ad. A host needs a pitch, a named introduction and a visit. Running one campaign for both wastes money on the driver ad that no host sees.

  • “Local ads suit a new station”

When a station opens, drivers within reach need to know. A local ad naming the connector types and the place reaches them, and it can stop once awareness is built, with the listings carrying on.

  • “Fleet and host outreach is not an ad”

Transport heads and property managers are reached by an introduction, an email, a call and a visit. Spending on broad ads to find them brings clicks from people who cannot sign.

  • “Measuring needs more than clicks”

A click on a charging ad says little. A driver who charged, a host who booked a visit and a fleet that put vehicles on the network are the results to count, and each needs a way of being recorded.

What we do

What we deliver for EV charging station operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan by buyer

A one-page plan stating which channel reaches drivers, fleets and hosts, and what each is expected to produce.

Result: Every channel has a named buyer and a stated purpose.

  2. Local ad sets for station openings

Ads aimed at the area around a new station, with connector types and the place named in the text.

Result: A new station has an ad that tells a driver what it offers.

  3. A host and fleet outreach sequence

A series of messages, calls and a visit offer for each, with a named sender.

Result: Each target receives a sequence with a named sender.

  4. Conversion tracking

A way of recording enquiries, visits and onboarded vehicles back to the channel that brought them.

Result: Each result is traced to its source.

  5. A review of spend

A look at what each channel cost against what it produced, with decisions on what to stop.

Result: Spend is reviewed against results with a recorded decision.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Searches and ads that bring a driver or a host, and where each lands.

EV charging near me
A map listing and a station page. The driver wants to charge now, so paid ads here cost more than a correct pin.
EV charging station opening in [locality]
A local campaign for a new station that sends to the station page, with the opening date stated.
become an EV charging host
A search ad for property owners, landing on the host page with a form that asks parking count and location.
EV fleet charging solution
A narrow ad for fleet managers, landing on the fleet page with a trial request.
EV charging station franchise
A search that attracts the wrong person: someone wanting to buy a station. Block it unless you sell franchises.

Who it is for

This is written for these EV charging station operators.

  • Public fast charging network operators
  • Destination chargers in malls and hotels
  • Residential society charging operators
  • Highway and fuel station charging operators
  • Fleet depot charging operators
  • Workplace charging providers
  • Charge point management software providers
  • Battery swapping operators

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your stations are fewer than your ad reach, and drivers who click would find nothing near them.
  • You cannot yet record which host enquiries came from an ad, so spend could not be tested.
  • A site visit for a host is not possible this season, and ads would bring leads that wait.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should we spend first?
Start with accurate listings and host outreach, since they cost little and affect every other effort. Add local ads for new stations.
Are social ads worth it?
For a new station and a defined area, they can reach the right drivers. For hosts and fleets, outreach to named people is more direct.
How do we judge success?
By drivers charging, hosts visited and fleets onboarded. Clicks and impressions are signs along the way, not results.
Should we advertise to drivers or hosts first?
Hosts first if you need sites, since each new host adds a place for drivers. Advertise to drivers once a station is live and reliable, or the click brings a complaint. The order follows what you lack: sites, or use of the sites you have.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
