Seafood processing companies · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp for what buyers already send there: photographs, quotes and quick questions.

WhatsApp marketing for a seafood processor is using the buyer's own chat app for catalogues, sample updates and quick answers, with consent and a record. GullySales sets up the business account, the replies and the logging.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For seafood processing companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers already message on WhatsApp”

Domestic chains, caterers and some overseas contacts send a photograph of a carton or a count question on a chat. If that message stays on one person's phone, the plant has no record and no second pair of hands to answer.

  • “A photograph answers faster than a paragraph”

A buyer asking how the glaze looks or how the pack is sealed is helped by a picture. A business account lets the team keep approved photographs and a catalogue ready to send.

  • “Broadcasts need permission”

A message sent to a list of buyers must go only to those who agreed to receive it. Check the platform's current rules, and keep a record of consent against each contact.

  • “Chat is a record, so treat it as one”

A price agreed on chat is as binding in practice as one in mail. Confirm specifications and quotes in writing on a document, and keep the chat linked to the buyer's record.

What we do

What we deliver for seafood processing companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business account set up

Profile, catalogue of products, business hours and greeting, completed with the plant's details.

Result: A business profile a buyer can open and read.

  2. Saved replies for common questions

Answers on pack sizes, samples, documents and minimum order, ready to send and edited for each buyer.

Result: A set of saved replies the team uses.

  3. Consent and list rules

A record of which buyers agreed to receive updates, and a rule for removing anyone who asks.

Result: A consent column against each contact.

  4. Chats logged to the CRM

A habit and, where the tool allows it, a connection that moves an enquiry from chat to the enquiry log.

Result: No enquiry exists only on a personal phone.

  5. A shared inbox or number plan

A decision on who holds the plant's number and who covers when that person is away.

Result: Named cover for the business number.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Use WhatsApp to capture these and send these.

Photograph of the carton
Keep approved images of packs and labels ready. Send on request, and note which buyer received which version.
Count and glaze question
Reply with the figures your quality head has confirmed, then repeat them in a written quote.
Delivery slot for a caterer
Confirm the day, the quantity and the cold-chain handover in one message. The chat serves as a note of what was agreed.
Sample dispatch note
One message with packing detail and arrival date, so the buyer's team expects the parcel.
Price list for opted-in buyers
Send only to contacts who agreed to receive it, with the issue date so nobody quotes it back later.
Order confirmation
After any chat agreement, send the details by email as the record, with the chat linked to the buyer's file.

Who it is for

This is written for these seafood processing companies.

  • Shrimp processing and freezing plants
  • Fish fillet, steak and whole round fish processors
  • Value-added seafood processors making ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat products
  • Squid, cuttlefish and cephalopod processing plants
  • Crab, lobster and shellfish processors
  • Surimi, fish paste and fish meal units
  • Contract processors who pack for other brands
  • Domestic frozen fish suppliers to chains, hotels and caterers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Buyer chats sit on staff phones and the plant will not move to a shared number.
  • You have no approved photographs and replies would be improvised.
  • You plan to broadcast offers to a bought list, which would cost you the buyers you already have.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send offers to all our buyers at once?
Only to those who agreed to receive them, and within the platform's current rules, which you should check. We build the list with consent recorded, so a broadcast goes to the right people.
Should quotes go on WhatsApp?
Use the chat to share and discuss, and send the formal quote as a document with the specification. That keeps the commercial record clear for both sides.
Can staff use personal numbers for buyer chats?
They can, but the plant loses the history when someone leaves. A business number shared by the sales desk keeps chats with the company. Agree a handover rule, and ask buyers to use the business number for orders.
Is WhatsApp suitable for sharing specifications?
For short answers, yes. For a full specification or audit document, use email with an access record. Chats are easy to forward and a confidential private-label sheet should not circulate where you cannot track it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
