Solar equipment dealers · WhatsApp marketing

Send the rate and stock update installers actually keep on their phone.

WhatsApp marketing for a solar equipment dealer is the business use of WhatsApp to send stock and price updates, answer rate requests and keep installers in touch. GullySales works on the broadcast format, the catalogue and the rules for who receives what.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For solar equipment dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The photographed price sheet is the habit to break”

A picture of a handwritten list is out of date once a price moves, and the installer cannot search it. A clean message with item, wattage, make and rate is read and forwarded.

  • “Installers want a name beside the number”

A rate with a person to call turns a broadcast into a conversation. A message from a nameless number is deleted and the next one is ignored.

  • “Consent decides who stays on the list”

An installer who asked for updates reads them. One added without asking blocks the number or mutes it, and the broadcast then reaches no one. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging.

  • “A catalogue answers the repeat questions”

Products, makes and kit bundles listed in the business catalogue stop the same query arriving ten times. The chat is left for the quotes that need judgement.

What we do

What we deliver for solar equipment dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business profile and catalogue

A WhatsApp Business profile with address, hours and a catalogue of product families and kits.

Result: An installer can browse before asking.

  2. A stock and rate message format

A fixed layout for item, wattage, make, rate, minimum quantity and a name to call.

Result: Every update reads the same way.

  3. A broadcast list built on consent

Installers who asked to receive updates, grouped by what they buy.

Result: Only interested buyers receive each message.

  4. Quick replies for common questions

Saved answers for delivery area, payment terms, warranty and visit timings.

Result: Your counter answers the routine without retyping.

  5. A hand-off to a person

A rule for when a chat moves from the saved answer to a call from your team.

Result: Large or unusual enquiries reach a person.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Send and record these so the broadcast reaches installers who want it.

Opt-in note with date and source
Record when the installer asked for updates and how. Keeps the list to people who agreed and gives you proof if anyone asks.
Item, wattage, make, rate and a name
The clean line that replaces the photographed sheet. The name beside the number turns a broadcast into a reply.
Stock change since the last message
New arrivals and items now out. Tell installers what moved so they do not chase a model that has gone.
Catalogue entries for kits and bundles
Products listed with make and kit size in the business catalogue. Takes the repeat price questions out of the chat.
Opt-out request
Note the installer who asks to stop and remove them at once. A list that respects this stays readable.

Who it is for

This is written for these solar equipment dealers.

  • Solar module and panel distributors
  • Inverter and hybrid inverter dealers
  • Mounting structure and fabrication suppliers
  • DC and AC cable and protection equipment dealers
  • Battery and storage equipment dealers
  • Kit sellers for homes and small shops
  • Solar pump and agricultural equipment dealers
  • Wholesale suppliers to EPC firms

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You do not have the installers' agreement to message them, and adding numbers without it gets the business number blocked
  • Your rates change faster than anyone can update the message, so the broadcast would carry prices already out of date
  • No one can answer the replies a broadcast brings, which turns a stock update into a stream of unanswered chats

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a broadcast the same as spam?
Not when the installer asked for it and the content is useful. Send stock and rate updates only to those who opted in, and give them a way to stop.
Should we use the official API?
The business app suits a small counter team. A larger dealer with several staff and volume may need the API route, and we help weigh the cost against the need.
Can we share customer details in a group?
Avoid it. Group chats spread phone numbers and rates to buyers who compete with each other. Use individual messages or broadcasts so each installer sees only their own thread.
Our staff use their own phones to message installers. Is that a problem?
It is a risk. The installer's number and history leave with the person, and the business sees nothing. Move to a shared business number or the platform's business tools so every quote is on record. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging before you set it up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
