IT staffing and contract hiring firms · Search engine optimisation

Appear for the skill and the city on the client side, and the role on the candidate side.

SEO for an IT staffing firm is the work of making pages that a hiring manager finds when searching for a skill and a hiring model, and that a candidate finds when searching for a role. GullySales works on page structure, role pages and the technical base, with no promise of rank.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For IT staffing and contract hiring firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Hiring managers search by skill and model”

A search for contract Java developers or contract-to-hire testers in Bengaluru is how a requirement begins. A page about that skill and model answers it.

  • “Candidates search by role, not by firm”

An engineer looks for a role title and a city. Role pages with real details are found; a general careers page is not.

  • “Job postings expire and leave dead pages”

A page for a filled role confuses a candidate. Close it clearly or redirect it to similar open roles.

  • “Client and candidate pages need separate paths”

A hiring manager who lands on a page of job listings leaves. Keep the client pages and the candidate pages apart.

What we do

What we deliver for IT staffing and contract hiring firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Pages by skill and hiring model

A page for each skill group and each model, such as contract or contract-to-hire, describing how you source, submit and onboard.

Result: A hiring manager finds the page for their requirement.

  2. Role pages for candidates

Real open roles with location, work mode and process, closed or redirected when filled.

Result: Candidates land on live roles.

  3. City pages

Pages for Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai and other hubs you serve, naming the skills in demand with you.

Result: Local searches find a relevant page.

  4. A technical review

Speed, mobile layout, indexing and structured data for job postings, with fixes listed.

Result: Search engines read the pages correctly.

  5. An internal link plan

Links between skill pages, hiring models and the enquiry route.

Result: Visitors move toward a requirement form.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should job postings be on our site or only on job boards?
Both. Your own site gives you pages that carry your name, while boards bring volume. Keep the postings on the site accurate and close them when the role is filled.
Can we use client names on the site?
Only with the client's written permission. Some agreements restrict it. Describe the work by sector and skill if the client does not agree.
Does a blog help a staffing firm?
Notes on hiring models, notice periods and interview process give a hiring manager a basis to decide. Write what your recruiters explain on calls, and keep it current.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
