Trademark lawyers · Search engine optimisation

Search is where a founder reads the opposition notice aloud and looks for a lawyer.

SEO for a trademark lawyer is the work of appearing when a brand owner types the name of the paper they hold, such as an examination report or a show-cause notice. GullySales works on the pages, titles and profiles that match those searches inside the advocates' rules.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For trademark lawyers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “People type the paper, not the practice”

A founder with an opposition notice types the notice's title and a question about it. A page titled Intellectual property law services matches neither, while a page named after the paper matches the phrase exactly.

  • “Statute-heavy pages lose the reader”

A page listing sections and Acts looks thorough to a lawyer. To the frightened owner it is unreadable, and they leave for the page that says in plain words what the notice means and what to gather.

  • “Search-friendly does not mean boastful”

An advocate's page may inform, but it cannot promise results or list wins. Good SEO here is the discipline of explaining one situation clearly, stating who you are accurately and stopping there.

  • “Each notice type needs its own page”

Folding oppositions, rectification and cease and desist letters into one page makes it rank for none of them. Separate pages let each answer a single worry and be found for it.

What we do

What we deliver for trademark lawyers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A list of the phrases owners type

Notice names, Registry steps and dispute situations gathered from the papers your own clients bring you.

Result: The list is written in the owner's words.

  2. Page titles and headings rewritten

Titles on existing pages changed to carry the name of the paper and the trade, kept within the space a search result shows.

Result: Every page title names a real notice.

  3. Explainer pages for each notice

A plain page per paper, covering what it is, what the owner should collect and when to ring a lawyer, reviewed by your firm before publishing.

Result: Nothing is published without a lawyer's reading.

  4. Internal links between related notices

Links from an examination page to the opposition page and onward to the rectification page, in the order a dispute unfolds.

Result: A reader can follow a dispute from page to page.

  5. A search record kept beside your enquiries

The phrases bringing visitors set against the enquiries that followed.

Result: You can see which pages bring callers.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long before the pages rank?
Nobody can state that, and we make no promise on rankings. What we can show you is the page, its title and the phrases it targets, then read your search record with you as it builds.
Will writing about the law count as advertising?
An explainer that informs and states no results sits differently from a page that invites work. Advertising rules differ by profession and state, so check with your own bar council or adviser before anything goes live.
Do we need a blog for SEO?
Not a blog for its own sake. Pages that answer a notice-specific question serve better than news posts. A blog section can hold them if your site already has one.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
