Law firms · Website

Build a site organised by practice area, informative rather than promotional.

Website design and development for a law firm means a site structured around practice area pages that inform a prospective client about the process and the firm's experience. It is written to sit within the profession's advertising restrictions. GullySales builds this so each practice area can be found and trusted on its own.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For law firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Practice area pages need their own consultation request path”

A page for family law should let a visitor request a consultation without hunting through a general contact page.

  • “Lawyer profiles need qualification and experience clearly stated”

A page listing a lawyer's bar enrolment, experience and the kinds of matters handled builds more trust than a one-line bio.

  • “The site's tone needs to stay informative, not promotional”

Wording that describes experience factually, rather than claiming to be the best, keeps the site within professional guidance.

What we do

What we deliver for law firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A consultation path on every practice area page

Each practice area page built with its own way to request a consultation, rather than routing everyone to one general contact page.

Result: A visitor with a specific matter can act without hunting for a form.

  2. Lawyer profile pages with qualification stated

A profile for each lawyer stating bar enrolment, experience and the kinds of matters handled, rather than a one-line bio.

Result: A prospective client can judge a lawyer's fit before the first call.

  3. A tone review against advertising guidance

Every page reviewed to describe experience factually, correcting any wording that reads as a promotional claim.

Result: The site stays informative and within professional guidance throughout.

  4. A practice area structure built around capacity

The site organised by the practice areas the firm genuinely handles, rather than a generic list borrowed from elsewhere.

Result: A visitor sees an accurate picture of what the firm actually does.

  5. A handover your team can keep updated

A simple way for the firm to update lawyer profiles and practice area content themselves after launch.

Result: Profile and practice details stay current without outside help.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What the page must show

What a law firm's website must show before a prospective client makes contact.

Practice areas you really take instructions in
List only the areas you handle and the courts, tribunals or forums you appear before. Check the wording against your Bar Council and state bar rules, which change.
Enrolment and qualifications of each lawyer
Show degree, enrolment details and bar association membership for each lawyer. A visitor checks the person before the firm.
What the first consultation involves
Explain whether the first call is paid, how it is held, and which documents to bring, such as the notice, agreement or title papers. Make no statement about outcomes.
How fees are usually structured
Describe in general terms whether work is billed on a fixed fee, hourly or stage-wise basis, and that a written fee letter is given before work starts. No promised amounts.
Confidentiality and the office
Say that enquiries are treated as confidential, and give the office address, court-day hours and Maps link. Say how to reach someone about an urgent notice or hearing date.
A plain disclaimer in the right place
Add a short note that the site is general information and not legal advice, worded as your own council's current rules expect. Put it where visitors can see it.

Who it is for

This is written for these law firms.

  • Litigation and dispute resolution practices
  • Corporate and M&A law firms
  • Family law practices
  • Intellectual property law firms
  • Real estate and property law practices
  • Tax and compliance law practices
  • Boutique single-practice-area firms

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the website work runs

  1. 1

    Confirm structure and content

We agree the site's pages and content needs before design begins, drawing on website strategy where it exists.

  2. 2

    Design the site

Every page is designed against your brand identity and checked for how it should convert a visitor.

  3. 3

    Build and test

The site is developed and tested across devices and browsers before anything goes live.

  4. 4

    Load real content

Actual copy, images and information about your business replace placeholder content before launch.

  5. 5

    Launch and hand over access

The site goes live with domain, hosting and content management access clearly handed to you.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long does this take to build?
It depends mainly on how many practice areas and lawyer profiles need writing, since accuracy matters more than speed here. A single-practice firm's site moves faster than a full-service firm covering ten areas. Once we have read your brief, we can give you a realistic view of the timeline for your firm.
Can our existing content be reused?
Factual content about the firm and its lawyers usually can, once reviewed for tone and restructured by practice area.
Can visitors send us case details on WhatsApp or a form?
Allow a short first message, but ask people not to send full case papers until a lawyer has confirmed the firm can act and has checked for conflict. Say so on the form. Check your own council's rules on how client information is handled.
Can we publish short articles on recent judgments?
Many firms do. Keep them factual: name the court, the date and the issue, explain in plain words, and add that it is general information. Have a lawyer in the firm read each one. Do not comment on pending matters you act in.
Can a law firm advertise in India?
Only within narrow limits. The Bar Council of India restricts advertising and solicitation, so we build visibility through informative content, directories and referral relationships instead.
Can we show case wins or client names on our website?
No. Publishing results or testimonials reads as soliciting work, which the Bar Council rules forbid. A website may state your name, contact details, enrolment and areas of practice, and plain explainer articles can sit alongside that.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
