Product and industrial design studios · CRM

Track each proposal from first idea to signed concept stage.

A CRM for a product design studio is one record of every prospect, proposal and project. GullySales sets it up around product type, stage and decision makers, so a proposal sent in March is still followed in April.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For product and industrial design studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Proposals travel through several hands”

A founder passes the document to a production head and a partner. Without a record of who has seen it, nobody knows who to nudge. Record who has seen the proposal and who has asked questions, so the next contact goes to the right person.

  • “Long sales cycles hide in email”

A project may take many conversations before a paid concept stage. Without a log, history sits in one designer's inbox. Log each conversation in the record as it happens, so a colleague can pick up when one designer is away.

  • “Past clients are the best leads”

A manufacturer who launched a product may need a variant or a sibling product. Nobody remembers to ask. Set a reminder to ask completed clients about variants, refreshes and new products after the first run.

  • “Referrers are rarely thanked or tracked”

Toolmakers and suppliers send names and hear nothing. A record keeps the relationship visible. Keep the referrer's last job, last thank-you and the next contact date in one place. Thank the referrer in person and record the date, so the relationship is kept up on purpose.

What we do

What we deliver for product and industrial design studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Fields for product studios

Product type, material, stage, budget band described in words, decision makers and next step.

Result: Each record describes the real project.

  2. Stages from enquiry to handover

Enquiry, discovery, proposal, concept stage signed, development, handover, with an owner at each.

Result: You see where every prospect stands.

  3. Proposal tracking

Who received the proposal, who has read it and who has raised questions, with a next-contact date.

Result: No proposal is left without a follow-up date.

  4. Past-client review

A list of completed projects with a prompt to ask about variants, refreshes and new products.

Result: Past clients are contacted on purpose.

  5. Referrer records

Toolmakers, suppliers, architects and engineers who have sent work, with the last conversation noted.

Result: You can see who deserves a call.

  6. Reminders for stalled proposals

A prompt that raises any proposal with no contact for a set period you choose, assigned to a named person.

Result: Stalled proposals surface on their own.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries logged in the CRM
  • Data completeness
  • Reports generated from CRM data

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the CRM work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Map the sales process

We record how a deal actually moves from enquiry to close in your business today.

  2. 2

    Configure stages and fields

The CRM's pipeline and fields are built to match that process exactly, not a generic template.

  3. 3

    Set up automations

Reminders, assignment rules and follow-up triggers are configured so routine steps happen without manual effort.

  4. 4

    Test with real deals

We run the configuration against actual current deals to catch gaps before the whole team relies on it.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need paid software?
Not at the start. A shared sheet can hold the stages and dates for a small studio. We suggest a tool when your team and volume grow.
What about client confidentiality in a CRM?
Store only what you need, limit access and keep unreleased product details out of notes. Check data obligations with your own adviser. Limit the names that can open client records.
Who keeps it updated?
One named person per stage. We keep fields few so that updating takes moments, and we set a simple rule for what must be entered.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
