Residential construction contractors · Local SEO

Appear on the map when a plot owner searches for a house builder near them.

Local SEO for a residential contractor is the work of showing up in the map results and the profile panel when a family searches for a builder in their own area. GullySales works on the profile, the service area, the reviews and the photographs that decide which three builders are shown.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For residential construction contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The profile is read before the website”

A plot owner sees your name, rating and photographs on the map first. If the profile has a blank description and no house pictures, the family never reaches the site.

  • “An office address matters less than a service area”

Many contractors work from a home office or a site shed. The profile can hide the street address and name the towns served, so the listing matches how the business really runs. Check the platform's current rules.

  • “Reviews decide the shortlist”

A family reading three builders reads the rating and the latest comments. A contractor with a handful of old reviews looks smaller than one with a recent page of them, even if the work is equal.

  • “Photographs need captions that name a place”

A finished house photographed from the road, captioned with area, plot size and floors, tells the family what you build and where. A photograph with no caption is decoration.

What we do

What we deliver for residential construction contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A profile checked for category and description

The main business type, extra types, services and a plain description of the houses built.

Result: The profile says what you build.

  2. Service areas set to towns you really reach

The localities named on the profile match where the crew will travel.

Result: Enquiries come from places you can serve.

  3. A review request given at handover

A link and a short note offered to the owner at the key ceremony, with a reply written to each review.

Result: Recent reviews come from families you built for.

  4. Captioned house photographs

Photos added with area, plot size and floors, after the owner agrees.

Result: The photo gallery shows real work.

  5. A call and direction count read from the profile

The profile's own figures for calls, direction taps and website visits.

Result: You can see what the listing brought.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these residential construction contractors.

  • Contractors who build independent houses on 20 by 30 to 40 by 60 plots
  • Villa builders working inside gated layouts
  • Contractors for small apartment blocks of four to eight flats
  • Rural and small-town house builders
  • Contractors who work only on labour contracts with the owner buying material
  • Contractors offering fixed-rate packages with material included
  • Contractors who build additional floors on existing houses
  • Contractors who build farmhouses and weekend homes

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can I list a house I built for a client?
List the work with the owner's agreement, ideally written at signing. Some owners agree if the family name and exact address stay off the post.
Do I need a shop front to be on Google Maps?
Not necessarily. A business with no public counter can hide the address and show a service area instead. Check the platform's current rules before you set it up.
What if a rival posts false reviews?
Report them through the profile and do not argue in public. Reply politely to genuine complaints. Platform decisions on removal are theirs, not ours.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
