Residential construction contractors · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a family reads when they search for a house builder in their town.

SEO for a residential contractor is the work of making your site the answer when a plot owner searches for a builder, a rate or a floor plan in their own town. GullySales works on the pages, the wording and the technical basics that let a search engine understand what you build and where.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For residential construction contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Searchers type the plot, not the trade”

People search for a 30 by 40 house plan, a cost for a two-floor house or a builder in a named town. A page titled Our Services answers none of those. A page about a finished house of that size does.

  • “A town name decides who sees you”

A contractor in Mysuru is no use to a family in Hubballi. Each town you build in needs its own page that says so plainly, with real houses from that town, or the search engine has no reason to show you there.

  • “Rate pages attract the wrong visitors unless explained”

A page that only lists a rate per square foot brings price comparers. A page that lists the specification beside the rate brings readers who understand what they are paying for.

  • “Photographs without words are invisible”

A gallery of house pictures with file names like IMG and no captions tells the search engine nothing. The address area, plot size, floors and year are the words a family types.

What we do

What we deliver for residential construction contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each town you build in

A plain page per town with the houses built there, the plot sizes handled and how to reach the office.

Result: Each town appears for its own search.

  2. A finished-house page for every project

Plot size, floors, specification, stage photographs and the owner's permission recorded.

Result: A family can find a house like theirs.

  3. A rate-and-specification page

What the rate includes, what is extra and how stage payments run, written for the reader.

Result: Visitors from the rate search know what they are comparing.

  4. Titles and descriptions rewritten

Each page given a title that names the trade, the town and the house type.

Result: Search results show what each page is about.

  5. A speed and mobile check

The site opened on an ordinary phone connection, with slow pages and broken buttons listed.

Result: You have a fix list drawn from a real phone.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these residential construction contractors.

  • Contractors who build independent houses on 20 by 30 to 40 by 60 plots
  • Villa builders working inside gated layouts
  • Contractors for small apartment blocks of four to eight flats
  • Rural and small-town house builders
  • Contractors who work only on labour contracts with the owner buying material
  • Contractors offering fixed-rate packages with material included
  • Contractors who build additional floors on existing houses
  • Contractors who build farmhouses and weekend homes

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will SEO bring plot owners?
It can put you in front of those who search. Whether they call depends on the pages and the answers on the phone. GullySales cannot promise a rank or a number of enquiries.
Do I need a blog for SEO?
A blog is one route, not a requirement. Pages about stage payments, approvals and specification answer questions families ask. Write them only if someone on your team can check every fact.
Can I copy a competitor's pages?
No. Copied text is easy for a search engine to spot and gives a family no reason to choose you. Use your own houses, your own specification and your own words.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
