Structural contractors · Real estate and construction

Get the frame, not the leftovers after someone else's rate.

A builder in Bengaluru's Hennur has six flats to cast and a structural drawing that was revised twice. The block needs a gang that can fix shuttering, bar bending and concrete pours on a floor-by-floor schedule, and one earlier contractor sent half the labour.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of structural and civil engineers at work in India

In one paragraph

A structural contractor builds the frame of a building, whether reinforced concrete or steel, from footings and columns to slabs and roof. Marketing for one means reaching the builders, main contractors and engineers who hand out frame work, and owners who need existing structures strengthened. GullySales builds the project pages and quotation follow-up, then traces each enquiry to an order.

The call goes to the structural contractor who finished the last block on the day promised, and no other quotes are asked for. Structural work is bought on one question: will the frame go up correctly and on schedule. Buyers include builders, main contractors, factory owners with a steel shed and owners with a cracked old building. The word comes from another contractor or an engineer, and there is little way to check you before the advance goes in.

How buyers decide

How structural contractors are chosen.

A builder or main contractor who sublets the frame goes by what has been seen: a site that finished, a gang that stayed and an engineer who respected the work. Search enters for newer buyers: RCC contractors in Bengaluru, steel structure erection, building strengthening contractor. They then ask other contractors and read the structural engineer's opinion.

The decision depends on labour strength, equipment such as shuttering, props and cranes, the engineer's confidence and payment terms. A contractor who can show the machinery owned, the gangs run and the frames completed answers those four points on paper. Rate matters, but a frame that goes wrong costs far more than the saving.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for structural contractors.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Our work is hidden inside other people's buildings”

We cast the frame, and the builder gets the credit. The photographs of finished buildings do not show what we did or when.

  • “Buyers cannot see our labour strength or equipment”

Shuttering, props, mixers and a pump are what win frame work. We own them, but they are not listed anywhere a builder can see.

  • “Work comes from three builders”

When one builder slows, our gangs sit idle and wages still go out. We have no second source of orders.

  • “Strengthening and repair enquiries are hard to handle”

An owner of a cracked or old building needs an engineer's report first. We get a phone call and no way to tell whether it is real.

  • “Rates are compared without the scope”

One builder quotes a per square foot rate for the frame and another quotes per cubic metre of concrete. Our price looks high because the scope was never written down.

What we do

What we do for structural contractors.

Everything included for structural contractors.

  1. A profile of the frames you have built

A list of buildings with the structure type, floors, slab area and the scope you handled, from footing to terrace, shown with the builder's agreement.

  2. An equipment and labour sheet

The shuttering, props, mixers, vibrators and pumps you own, the gangs you run and the number of engineers and supervisors, written plainly.

  3. A scope-first quotation

A format that sets out what the rate covers, such as shuttering, bar binding, pour, curing and removal, and what the builder provides.

  4. A page for strengthening and repair work

A page for owners of ageing buildings, explaining that a structural engineer's report comes first and how you work from it.

  5. A builder follow-up list

A record of builders and main contractors you have worked for or pitched to, with the next site they plan.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries by source: builder, engineer, search, owner, referral
  • Site visits against quotations sent
  • Orders won against quotations sent, split by RCC, steel and strengthening
  • Reasons given for lost quotations
  • Repeat orders from builders already served
  • Marketing cost for each order won

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

RCC frames for apartments and houses · Steel structure erection · Additional floors and mezzanines · Retrofitting and strengthening of old buildings · Basements and retaining structures · Industrial sheds and platforms · Formwork and shuttering supply · Labour-only frame contracts

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what structural contractors most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Builders and developers

Introductions with the capacity sheet and finished frames to builders starting new blocks in your area.

  • Structural engineers

A pack and a meeting for the engineers who supervise frames and recommend gangs.

  • Strengthening for existing buildings

Pages and outreach to owners, societies and managers of old buildings, saying that an engineer's report comes first.

  • Steel and PEB clients

Outreach to factory owners and PEB suppliers who need steel erection and base structure.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of structural contractors, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Builders and developers' associations

Builders' association gatherings, where one builder asks another which gang held its schedule on a slab-by-slab job.

  • Structural engineers and architects

The site-visiting structural engineer, whose word decides which gang is called for the next block.

  • Material suppliers

Steel yards and ready-mix plants, which know which plots are about to pour.

  • Search and Maps

One page each for RCC frames, steel erection and strengthening, tied to the towns you cover.

  • WhatsApp groups of contractors and site engineers

A one-page profile and a number that is picked up, shared where site engineers swap labour and contractor names.

Who it is for

This is written for these structural contractors.

  • RCC frame contractors working for builders and developers
  • Labour-only structural contractors
  • Contractors who supply material and labour for frames
  • Steel structure fabrication and erection contractors
  • Mezzanine and additional floor contractors
  • Retrofitting and strengthening contractors
  • Shuttering and formwork contractors
  • Contractors who work for industrial shed and PEB clients

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

How the work runs for structural contractors

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

List the frames you have cast

Each building cast, the builder and engineer on it, and the date you finished.

  2. 2

Record what you own and who you run

Shuttering, props, pumps, gangs and supervisors entered on a sheet your office can edit.

  3. 3

Photograph the frames and ask each builder's permission

Pages and profiles are built from your site photographs, once each builder has agreed to be shown.

  4. 4

Write the scope into every quote

A quotation format that states the scope, and a follow-up note, both ready to send on WhatsApp.

  5. 5

Meet the people who give out frames

Builders and supervising engineers are approached, and each enquiry is recorded against its source.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

GullySales builds every engagement from three pieces of sales work. This page is not one of them, but the same three steps apply to the business behind it.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions structural contractors ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can a structural contractor say a building is safe?
No. Declaring a building safe is a licensed structural engineer's judgement. Your pages should say what you build or strengthen from an engineer's drawing and report, and should not certify.
How is this different from structural engineers' marketing?
An engineer sells design and certification to owners and builders. You sell construction labour, material and equipment on site. The buyers and the proof are different, so the pages are too.
Our work is mostly labour contracts. What do we show?
Show gang size, equipment, buildings finished and the engineers you have worked with. Builders buying labour want capacity and reliability, not design.
Should I list my rates?
No. List what the rate covers and let builders ask. Rates move with steel, labour and the building, and a printed number invites comparison without scope.
Can you help me find builders who need a frame contractor?
Yes, through introductions and local listings. We cannot promise a particular builder, and any list is built from public information and your own contacts.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
