Carpet stores · Local SEO

Show the rolled stock and the laid rug before the buyer decides to drive over.

Local SEO for a carpet store is the work of appearing in the map results when someone nearby searches for a rug or carpet shop. GullySales works on your Google profile, its photographs and its reviews so that the listing looks like the shop it is.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For carpet stores

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The listing photo is the front door”

A buyer scanning the map sees three shops and three photographs. The one showing a wall of rolled rugs and a laid piece looks like a shop with range. A closed shutter or a blurred signboard says nothing about what you sell.

  • “The wrong business type sends the wrong searchers”

A profile listed as a furniture shop or a general store misses people searching for carpet dealers. Primary and extra business types should match what you stock, from rugs to wall-to-wall carpet to floor mats.

  • “Reviews should name the product”

A review that says good shop is thin. One that mentions a wool rug, a home trial or help choosing a size tells the next searcher what to expect. Asking at the moment of purchase, with the size or room in mind, brings those details.

  • “A showroom up a lane needs directions in plain words”

Rug showrooms sit above a street or inside a market. Buyers who cannot find the entrance turn around. A landmark, a floor number and parking information on the profile save the visit.

What we do

What we deliver for carpet stores.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Profile set up by business type and range

Primary and extra business types, a description of what you stock, and a list of products and services.

Result: A profile that names your range in the buyer's words.

  2. Photo set of stock and showroom

Shots of rolled stock, laid rugs, the entrance and the approach, added in a planned order.

Result: A gallery that shows range and the way in.

  3. Hours and holiday entries

Opening hours, festive-season changes and any appointment-only days for commercial visits.

Result: A listing whose hours match the shop door.

  4. A review request at billing

A short card or message at the counter with the profile link, asking the buyer to name what they bought.

Result: Recent reviews that mention products.

  5. Directions and landmark text

A line on the profile and website explaining how to reach the showroom, including the floor and parking.

Result: A listing that gets the buyer to the entrance.

  6. Calls and direction counts

The listing's own figures for calls, direction requests and website taps against the starting baseline.

Result: Numbers you can read off the profile.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these carpet stores.

  • Hand-knotted and handmade rug showrooms
  • Machine-made and synthetic carpet stores
  • Wall-to-wall carpet and carpet-tile suppliers for offices
  • Floor mat and doormat dealers
  • Persian, Kashmiri and imported rug specialists
  • Prayer mat, yoga mat and utility mat sellers
  • Carpet and rug cleaning and repair shops attached to a store
  • Hotel and hospitality carpet contractors

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need a separate profile for a godown or warehouse?
Only if buyers visit it and it has its own hours and phone line. If it is a store room, it should not appear as a shop. Check the platform's current rules on what may be listed.
Why does a competitor with fewer rugs show above us?
Distance, business type, hours, photographs and reviews all count. A smaller shop with a tidy, complete profile can show above a bigger one with a thin listing, so the gap is fixable.
Should we reply to every review?
Reply to each, briefly and by name where the buyer gave one. A reply to a complaint about a returned rug or a late delivery is read by the next buyer as a sign of how you treat problems.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
