Saree shops · Buyer persona

Know the wedding mother, the festival regular and the relative abroad by name.

A buyer persona for a saree shop is a written picture of the kinds of person who buy, what each is shopping for and what makes them choose one shop over another. GullySales works on the personas from your own bills and conversations so the messages you send speak to a real buyer.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For saree shops

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The wedding mother decides, the bride approves”

The person who pays and the person who wears are not the same. The mother weighs price, trust and the opinion of the aunts, while the bride cares about colour and fall. A shop that speaks only to one of them loses the other.

  • “The festival regular wants something new in a known range”

The festival regular comes before each festival, buys one or two pieces and already knows the shop's staff. A long catalogue does not help this buyer; a short message with what has arrived and a nudge about the date.

  • “The relative abroad buys by trust”

Someone living in another country buying for a family wedding cannot touch the fabric. They rely on the video call, a clear price in their own currency and the word of a cousin, and they pay more attention to returns and delivery than anyone at the counter.

  • “The gift buyer worries about getting it wrong”

A person buying for a colleague or a daughter-in-law wants a safe choice and a price band. They need staff to say what suits, and they will return if the gift was received well.

What we do

What we deliver for saree shops.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Personas written from your bills

Short profiles of wedding mothers, brides, festival regulars, gift buyers and out-of-town relatives, based on what they have bought from you.

Result: A one-page profile of each kind of buyer.

  2. What each persona asks first

The first question and the main worry of each buyer, drawn from the chats and counter conversations.

Result: A list your staff recognise as true.

  3. A message for each persona

Short messages for each buyer at each stage, from first enquiry to after the sale.

Result: Messages written for a person, not for everyone.

  4. Where each persona finds you

A note of the route each buyer uses, such as Maps, a relative's word, Instagram or a planner.

Result: A map of routes to the buyers who matter.

  5. A staff session on the personas

A short walkthrough of the personas with the people on the floor, so the same picture is held at the counter and in the messages.

Result: The staff use the same names for the same buyers.

  6. A check against new bills

A review of the personas against a fresh set of bills to see if any no longer fits.

Result: Personas that match this season's buyers.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need personas when we know our customers?
The owner knows the customers; the person writing the message, the reel or the ad may not. Writing the persona down makes that knowledge usable by everyone who speaks for the shop.
How long should the persona list be?
Enough to cover the buyers who bring your sales, and no more than your staff can remember. A handful that your counter recognises is more useful than a long list nobody reads.
Can personas be wrong?
Yes. They are a working picture built from bills and conversations, so check them against new sales and change them when the shop's buyers change.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
