Sports equipment shops · Local SEO

Show up when a player nearby searches for a bat, racket or kit.

Local SEO for a sports shop is how the shop appears in Maps and local results when someone searches for a sport and a place. GullySales works on the Google Business Profile, the sports listed on it, shelf photos and the way customers describe the shop in reviews.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Outdoor and sports goods stores: show a real physical business scene illustrating Item and variant master. Hold each product with its sizes, colours, brand, barcode and price, so every variant has its own stock count and the counter finds the size on the shelf.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For sports equipment shops

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A profile that says Sports shop hides what you stock”

A player searching for badminton rackets near them sees shops, not shelves. A profile that lists badminton, cricket and football separately and shows each wall gives them a reason to choose you over the nearest name.

  • “Photos of the bat wall do more than the signboard”

People decide to travel on what they see. Photos of the racket display, the shoe wall and the team kit shelf tell a buyer you carry the range. A single front-of-shop photo tells them nothing about stock.

  • “Reviews that name the sport read as proof”

A review saying the shop fitted a child for a first bat tells the next parent what to expect. Asking a happy buyer at the counter, in a message, gets those specific words. A generic five-star line does less.

  • “Opening hours matter around sports days”

Parents search on the evening before an event. A profile with wrong hours, or a closed label on a festival day, sends them to the next shop. Hours need checking before every school sports week.

What we do

What we deliver for sports equipment shops.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Maps profile set up by sport

Business name, sport listings, products and attributes filled to match what the shop stocks.

Result: A profile that lists every sport you sell.

  2. A photo plan for the shelves

A list of shots to take: each sport wall, the stringing counter, team kit samples and the fitting area.

Result: A set of photos you can upload and refresh.

  3. A review request message

A short WhatsApp message to send after a fitting or a team order, with the review link.

Result: A message the counter staff can send in one tap.

  4. A reply routine for reviews

Short answers for good and critical reviews, written in the shop's voice.

Result: Every review answered by a named person.

  5. A special hours checklist

A list of dates to check hours before: tournaments, sports days, festivals and local holidays.

Result: Hours on the profile match the shop's real hours.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a Google profile enough without a website?
It carries a lot of local search by itself. A website with sport pages adds the detail a profile cannot hold. We start with the profile and add pages when the stock detail needs them.
Will you buy reviews for us?
No. Reviews come from real buyers, and the platform's current rules are against paid ones. We build a way of asking customers at the right moment and leave the writing to them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
