Home decor businesses · Video marketing

Show the piece in a real room, not on a plain background.

Video marketing for a home decor business shows a piece styled in a real room, and often unpacked, answering size and look questions a photo cannot. GullySales scripts and shoots these clips around your actual pieces and current stock.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What video marketing means

Video marketing is using short videos, such as a product demonstration or a customer walkthrough, to explain your business on social media, your website and Google listings. GullySales scripts, shoots and edits these videos around the questions buyers ask before they visit or call.

For home decor businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Scale is what a photo cannot show”

A short video walking around a lamp or rug in a real room answers the size question.

  • “Unboxing builds trust for fragile pieces”

Showing how a piece is packed and arrives reassures a buyer who has read about breakage elsewhere.

  • “Transformation clips are the most shared format”

A corner styled from empty to finished in one clip travels further than any single product video.

What we do

What we deliver for home decor businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Scale-and-size walkaround clips

Short videos walking around a lamp, rug or larger piece in a real room, answering the size question a photo cannot.

Result: A customer commits to a purchase without guessing at scale.

  2. Unboxing clips for fragile items

Videos showing how a fragile or made-to-order piece is packed and arrives, reassuring a buyer who has read about breakage.

Result: A hesitant buyer sees the care taken before ordering.

  3. A room transformation video format

A short, repeatable clip format showing a corner styled from empty to finished, built for sharing beyond the immediate audience.

Result: The most shareable format gets produced consistently, not by chance.

  4. A simple phone-shot production guide

A short guide for filming styling and unboxing clips on a phone with steady light, usable without a professional videographer.

Result: New video content does not wait on booking outside help.

How the result is measured

  • Views
  • Watch time
  • Enquiries traced to video

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Videos worth making

Film each piece in a styled corner so a buyer can judge its size, colour and finish.

A hand beside the piece
Hold the vase, frame or cushion next to your hand and a sofa arm, and say the size aloud. Add the clip to the Instagram post and to that item's entry in the WhatsApp catalogue.
The lamp switched on after dark
Film the lamp or string lights off, then on, in a dim room, so the buyer sees the colour of the light. Post it as an evening reel and answer every price comment in DMs.
A griha pravesh gift box being packed
Show a hamper being packed with its card and wrapping. Pin it before the housewarming and wedding season with a line inviting buyers to WhatsApp for delivery to their host.
Curtain fabric in daylight and tube light
Film the fabric moving at a window in morning light, then under indoor lighting, since colour shifts indoors. Send both to a customer choosing between shades.
A festive corner styled early
Style a corner with diyas, toran and lights well before Diwali and put the order cut-off date on screen. Check each marketplace's current rules before adding it to an Amazon or Meesho listing.
How a made-to-order request works
Show the steps: the customer sends a photo, you share finish or fabric options, then a sample. Use it as the reply to custom enquiries so size, quantity and date come back in one message.

Who it is for

This is written for these home decor businesses.

  • Home decor and furnishing boutiques
  • Online-only decor and lifestyle stores
  • Wall art and photo frame sellers
  • Lighting and lamp specialists
  • Curtain and soft furnishing stores
  • Festive and seasonal decor sellers
  • Gifting and home accessory stores
  • Home styling and consultation studios

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • No one can film the piece in daylight beside a window, and poor light would mislead the buyer about colour
  • The pieces are not packed against breakage yet, and an unboxing clip would show a damaged delivery to everyone

How it works

How the video marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Plan the distribution

We agree where each video will live and what a viewer should do next, before a shoot is booked.

  2. 2

    Script and shot list

A short script and shot list are written. For a hospital or clinic we flag claims that medical advertising rules do not allow.

  3. 3

    Clear permissions

Releases are signed, locations agreed, and music chosen with its licence in hand. This is done before the camera is switched on.

  4. 4

    Film on location

Filming runs to the shot list at your premises, with a short list of extra shots to cover the edits.

  5. 5

    Edit for each place

The footage is cut into the shapes agreed at planning, with captions added and the call to action placed at the end.

  6. 6

    Publish and track

Videos go live where planned. Views and enquiries are tracked by video against the baseline recorded before work began.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a professional videographer?
A phone with steady light handles most of this, especially unboxing and styling clips.
How long should these be?
Fifteen to forty-five seconds, long enough to show the piece, short enough to hold attention.
Can we use a designer's or an influencer's video of our piece on our own page?
Only with their written permission, and with credit where they ask for it. The photograph or reel belongs to the person who made it, even though the piece is yours. Ask for the original file and agree where you may post it and for how long.
How do we show colour accurately when every phone screen is different?
Film in daylight near a window with no coloured wall behind, and hold a plain white card in the first frame so colour can be corrected in editing. Name the colour in the caption and mention that screens vary, so a buyer is not surprised on delivery.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
