Inverter, UPS and generator dealers · Pay per click advertising

Buy the clicks during the outage week, when the customer will pay today.

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising for a power backup dealer buys attention in the weeks power cuts are on everyone's mind, and in the searches that carry a capacity. GullySales runs separate campaigns for home batteries and industrial sets, and lifts the budget when the outages start.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For inverter, UPS and generator dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The decision is made during the power cut”

A family that sat through three evenings without power searches that week, and an advertisement running in November reaches nobody in that state of mind.

  • “A battery click and a genset click are not worth the same”

One leads to a sale of a few thousand rupees and the other to a quotation worth lakhs, so they cannot share a budget or a bid.

  • “Same-day installation is the thing to advertise”

Buyers in an outage week choose on who can come today, so the advertisement should say the installation timing rather than the brand.

What we do

What we deliver for inverter, UPS and generator dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Separate campaigns for home, office and industrial

Distinct campaigns for inverters and batteries, online UPS, and diesel gensets, each with its own words, bid and landing page.

Result: Budget stops being spent on the cheapest clicks.

  2. Call-first ads in working hours

Search ads with call buttons, running when someone is at the counter to answer, since an outage buyer rings rather than fills a form.

Result: The urgent buyer reaches a person.

  3. Budget lifted around the outage season

Spend raised from late February and through the monsoon weeks, and reduced in the quiet months.

Result: The money is spent when people are buying.

  4. Negative keywords for repairs and jobs

Searches for inverter repair, battery water, technician jobs and second-hand sets excluded where you do not want that work.

Result: The budget stops paying for the wrong enquiry.

  5. Orders counted against spend by product

Every ad enquiry logged with the product and whether it was installed, reported against the baseline taken at the start.

Result: You know what a genset enquiry actually costs.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches made during a power cut, and the ones that cost a click and sell nothing.

Inverter and battery near me, plus 150Ah tubular battery price
Bid. A person in an outage wants a dealer who can deliver today. Name the battery size or inverter capacity in the advert, and show the area you deliver to, so the click is a buyer in range.
Genset and DG set for a shop, office or factory, by kVA
Bid, on its own campaign. The buyer is a business with a sizing question. Send the click to a page that asks the load, phase and site before it asks for the phone number.
Battery replacement and old battery exchange
Bid. This is the quickest sale you have, since the buyer already owns the inverter. Tell them what brand you stock and that you collect the old battery, and keep it apart from new-inverter spend.
Inverter repair, service centre and dealer-brand complaint
Block unless you service that brand. People searching a brand's complaint number want the maker, not you. Add customer care, complaint, toll free and service centre as negatives.
Where the click lands
Send it to a page with a one-line capacity guide, the brands you stock and a tap-to-call button, so a household in a power cut can reach you without reading. Do not send it to a catalogue.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a call that asks for a quote, a WhatsApp message with a load or battery size, or a form with a pin code you serve. Log it with the product, and mark which ones were installed.

Who it is for

This is written for these inverter, UPS and generator dealers.

  • Home inverter and battery dealers
  • Online UPS dealers for offices, clinics and IT setups
  • Diesel and gas generator dealers
  • Solar hybrid inverter and battery dealers
  • Battery replacement and service centres
  • Generator rental and AMC providers
  • Industrial power backup and stabiliser suppliers
  • Multi-brand power backup stores

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Nobody picks up calls during outage weeks, so paid clicks would be bought and then missed.
  • You cannot say which orders came from an ad, so the spend would run without a way to know if it paid.
  • Your shop does not stock or deliver generators, and a campaign for them would draw enquiries you cannot supply.

How it works

How the pay per click advertising work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the whole budget

We fix the total paid budget across platforms, who owns each ad account, and how much is open to moving.

  2. 2

    Audit tracking and accounts

We check that conversions fire once, that calls and WhatsApp chats are counted, and that your enquiry sheet matches what the platforms say.

  3. 3

    Set one definition of success

You and we agree what a qualified enquiry is and what an order is, so every platform is judged the same way.

  4. 4

    Build and launch the plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with shared naming and tags from day one.

  5. 5

Read search terms and lead quality

We review the queries that triggered ads and the enquiries that arrived, and remove waste before moving money.

  6. 6

    Reallocate and report

Budget moves toward what is earning, within agreed limits. Results are reported against the baseline, at the frequency agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Are ads worth it for generator enquiries?
Sometimes, because the volume is small and the value is large. One genset order can cover months of spend. The enquiry still needs a site visit and a quotation within a day, or the advertising is wasted.
What should we budget for the summer?
More than the rest of the year combined, in most cases. We size it after we have read your brief and spoken to you, against your installation capacity, because advertising beyond what your technicians can fit in a week only creates bad reviews. The media cost is billed to you and shown apart from our own.
Should we bid on the brands we stock?
Only your own shop name by default. Brand names mostly bring buyers who want the maker's own dealer or price. Test a small brand-plus-your-city campaign, and drop it if the calls ask for another dealer or a discount you cannot give.
Can we run ads only when a power cut hits?
You can schedule adverts to the hours people search, but you cannot time them to a particular outage. Many dealers raise spend on hot days and keep a small standing campaign for battery and UPS enquiries the rest of the year.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
