Accounting software providers · Digital marketing

Choose the channels by where the shopkeeper and the CA actually look.

Digital marketing for an accounting software provider is the combined use of search, video, messaging, email and paid ads to move shops and accountants from curiosity to a trial and a paid licence. GullySales works on which channels earn a place and how they feed one pipeline.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For accounting software providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Channels fight each other without a plan”

Search brings the switcher, YouTube brings the learner, the dealer brings the cold shop. Each reports its own numbers, and nobody sees that one buyer touched three of them before the trial.

  • “Paid ads suit some trades and not others”

A pharmacy billing search has clear intent and a modest ad can meet it. A general accounting term draws students and curious readers. Budget goes where buyers type a task, not a concept.

  • “Email still reaches accountants”

A CA will read a clear note about a compliance update at a desk. A shopkeeper ignores email. Keep the list split by role so each person receives what they use.

  • “Brand trust is built on support”

A review that mentions the support person by name does more than a banner ad. The marketing plan should include how support experiences get noticed and shared with consent.

What we do

What we deliver for accounting software providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan by trade

A written choice of channels for each trade, with what each is for.

Result: A one-page plan listing the channels for each trade.

  2. One source field on every enquiry

A single field recording the first and last touch.

Result: Reports show how channels combine.

  3. A starter ad set for clear trades

Search ads for trades with direct billing searches, with the budget decided by you.

Result: A small set of ads linked to trade pages.

  4. An email stream for accountants

A set of notes on compliance changes and product updates.

Result: CAs receive notes written for them.

  5. A review route tied to support

A polite ask after a solved ticket, with a link to a review page.

Result: Reviews come from people helped by the team.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Where a shopkeeper and a CA look before they buy software.

billing software for kirana shop
A trade page with a sample bill, the price in plain words and a trial button. Use it as the landing page for any ad on this search.
best accounting software for CA firm
A practitioner page, with an email stream behind it, that explains multi-client views and how a client's books stay apart.
Tally data import to new software
A switching page that supports both an ad and a search listing, since the buyer has already decided to leave.
GST return software for composition dealer
A page that shows which return screens a composition dealer sees. Run it only if your product handles that scheme.
accounting software demo in Hindi
A page with a language option, a recorded demo and a phone number the shop can ring in the same language.

Who it is for

This is written for these accounting software providers.

  • Desktop accounting software vendors competing with Tally and Busy
  • Cloud accounting and GST billing apps for small businesses
  • Billing software for pharmacies, grocery and retail counters
  • Accounting products for wholesalers, traders and distributors
  • Software for contractors, builders and project businesses
  • Products built for CAs managing many client books
  • Dealer and reseller networks selling a single accounting product
  • E-invoicing and GST filing tool vendors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your product serves one trade and one channel, so a spread across many platforms would thin the effort without finding new buyers.
  • You cannot trace a lead to its source, so any spend on ads would be unmeasurable and impossible to defend later.
  • Your trial does not yet work for the trade you want to advertise to, so paid traffic would pay for abandoned installs.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How much should we spend on ads?
Set it from what a paid licence is worth to you and what you can afford to learn. GullySales does not set or promise spend outcomes; the amount is yours, held apart from our fee.
What if our product suits many trades?
Pick the two you serve best and build those first. A product that claims every trade convinces none.
Is offline marketing still useful?
Yes. Dealer meets, CA seminars and trade association stalls are where trust is formed. Record each in the same pipeline so you can compare with digital sources.
Should we advertise at the time returns are due?
Yes, when your product handles the return screen well. The shop searches then because the pain is fresh. A page that answers the filing question should be live first, since an ad that lands on a general home page wastes the moment the buyer is ready.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
